I don't know about that spot but the gob on the road to alcarnus still spawns like it always did. The only visible nerf I've seen is the resplendent chest in the Underbridge which sucks because some ppl such as myself weren't only farming Underbridge for the chest, that was more like a bonus to the normal Siegebreaker run. I've been farming the A2 goblins, they're still around. You want to go up to a point where you can see the entire path (before entering desolate sands). Sometimes the goblin spawns right at the checkpoint.

Been farming Ghom in Act 3 inferno. Stupidly easy fight. I hate act 2 and I hate Belial. I don't farm here much...

Ive been farming the goblin location in act 2 for quite some time and with reasonable mf gear and a little bit of luck you make alot of money
|
But it is mind numbingly boring :/
Even if siegebreaker itself is pretty stupid and boring fight, at least the champion packs before him can be (and often are) a challenge.

just found 6 attribute boots and pants recipie on siege, crafted a couple things and found that they were decent... is it worth it to craft and sell or is cost/benefit off?
|
in theory it is worth it, but depending on your luck you can rack up huge costs before you craft a pair worth selling for 1m+
Some people have made money on that easily, while others say it isn't worth it. Regarding boots I'd tend towards not worth it, simply because if you roll no movement speed you will have a very hard time selling them. But try your luck a few times and see what it gets you.

No it's easy money, I paid 10m for a gloves one and have made back at least three times the amount in one week... also sold one pair of gloves for $155 on the RMAH. It's EASY money, I've never lost money even over the course of 25 crafts (each craft is less than 200k)

In that case I am either astounded at your luck, or surprised what people are willing to pay in the US servers
I've had quite a few good gloves which i couldn't sell for more than 100k because they rolled a stupid stat combination or no attack speed. Still i'll add you to the "it's easy money" category

So for the guys who farm whimsishyre, how did you get the staff of herding? If you did not make it, how much does it cost to buy? do you need to have it in your inventory every time you start a game for the level to spawn?
Like, I see people selling spots in whimsishyre for 100k, if I were to buy a spot, would I be able to create whimsishyre runs myself?

Staff of herding components are soulbound so no you cannot buy it. You need to make it, which costs 1.6m in total to begin with (I think, definitly 500k for hell and 1m for inferno, can't remember nightmare). You can buy a spot, but you still need the staff to create your own, so no to that.
Basically if you want to farm it, you need at least 1 friend who keeps making it for you, or to bite the bullet and make the staff yourselve.

crafting is definately worth it, id say it depends alot on the item though. Gloves are super profitable, as are shoulders. I have had bad luck on selling helms though. I think it has to do with needing to roll sockets but I cant say for certain. Even buying out materials ive spent 4-5 mil at a time crafting and usually can make that back in a couple hours anthitng elae that sells is pure profit. I did make a batch of 30 gloves and only break.even the other day but thats pretty rare

I spent about 4 mil ragecrafting boots the other day.. I always end up with shitty health globe/pick up radius bonuses

I think boots rank quite poorly (only good properties are stats/allres/movespeed).
I made a few million from crafting helms. Half of them will sell for <30k (or salvaged lol), but the ones which sell for 1mil++ make up for any losses.

I was thinking of crafting helms, but don't a lot of people use legendary helms like andys or mempo?

Basically if you want to farm it, you need at least 1 friend who keeps making it for you, or to bite the bullet and make the staff yourselve. Nightmare Staff upgrade is 200k.
So, in total, it would be: Wirt's Bell: 100k Staff of Herding Smith cost (Normal): 50k Nightmare Plans: 1 Nightmare Staff: 200k Hell Plans: 1 Hellish Staff: 500k Inferno Plans: 1 Inferno Staff: 1 mil Total: 1.85 million (and 3 extra gold)
It's the gold cost that is the real issue, imho. I farmed the staff while I went through Nightmare and got all the parts together in a single day. You can farm for the initial ingredients on any difficulty. But I haven't even used the staff yet because I haven't invested in upgrading it to the point where it's useful, and I'm not sure that's the best use of my money at this point. I suppose you'd make the investment back selling Inferno Whimsey runs for 100k pretty fast.

Thanks everyone for your help. I got my staff for inferno now, but my gear is not good enough to solo whimsishyre just yet. If anyone want to farm whimsishyre with me (needs to have good gear and mf) then send me a pm or add Patrio#2591 (EU)

Why do you care about someone else's MF?
