Ancient pathway, you need to complete quest 8 (kill Zoltun Kulle) to unlock it. Get someone to unlock it for you.

You can still use the difficulty-skipping trick if you have at least 1 quest available in that act (the hotfix only prevents people from skipping entire acts--you can still skip quests within an act).
If you have the A2Q1 waypoint, you can still use the old difficulty-skipping trick to open later quests in A2.

When I'm lazy, the tower of the cursed lvl 2 area using the exploit of shooting ennemies over the edge is one of the best spot I know. 2-3 yellows guaranteed each run (10min run for me).

Do you mind explaining in greater detail? What exactly has been hotfixed? I think it's skipping acts as you mentioned, but I'm not entirely sure. In my experience, you can skip quests in the same act, but quests in different levels don't get saved (you can still access the quest as long as you can click "resume game").

WE are the open beta testers. 
some area that also drops quite well are the towers and crater levels. the towers offer great potential for abuse, particularly with wizards and dhs, and the craters have easy opponents (scorpions, fallens) in high quantity. however, these levels can get quite annoying enemies, so Im not yet convinced that this sort of run (with cydea and azmodan as a finish) beats siegebreaker runs.

Buy a lvl60 legendary for 20k, salvage it and sell crafting mats.
