It's hard to catch up as it is right now...boo The problem is that in terms of legitimate runs, A2/early A3 are terrible. A1 was pretty well structured. You've got a pretty straightforward progression from Crypts->SkelK->Warden/Butcher. Then when you get to A2, all the layouts are awful for runs. Alcarnus, for example--getting stacks for it sucks because you have to spend ages wandering around in wide open areas looking for Elites--even if doing the runs are easy for you, its a huge chore to actually pick up stacks, and you waste a lot of time wandering around. Getting stacks for Kulle is equally annoying, and progressing Kulle->Belial involves a lot of wasted in-between time where you're not killing anything meaningful getting from Kulle to Belial. Early A3 has the problem that there are no act bosses in the first 2 quests, and Ghom runs suck because the layouts for the Keep Depths are absolutely terrible (giant labyrinth with lots of dead ends = a lot of wasted time). Not to mention the problems Soul Rippers cause for ranged in such tight enclosed spaces. This is why people resorted to grind spots instead of doing legitimate runs--because between Butcher and Siegebreaker, the legitimate runs all suck. | ||

In my experience, you can get your stacks pretty easily by doing the first pack in Alcarnus (almost always one just a little past the bridge and the first prisoner cages), and then going in the two little dungeons before Khulle. Actually, usually just clearing one of the two will do it, they're loaded with elite packs. And the time between Khulle and Belial isn't that long, probably about 5 minutes if you can rush through it. I agree it's not as good as Siegebreaker, Warden/Butcher, or Cydea/Azmo, but if you're stuck in Act 2 it's definitely the way to go. | ||

The only reason its half decent is you can get the horses stuck on the tree by the cat picture on the map, so undergeared range char can do it easily enough. | ||

 As most people I'm stuck at 1st Inferno Act, my gear is too weak for 2nd Act: 41k hp, 16k dps, ~4k Armor (without FA, since I'm using SA for running) I'm doing crit build, +30% crit chance and +170% crit damage and doing just fine without any problems. Butcher runs, however, don't give me any beneficial items which I could sell for good money. Most of it is uber crap. I'm really having trouble with gold, farming seems forever. I read this thread but most of things are already fixed/nerfed. I need gold for AH gear however it takes me too much time even for small 100k, so: Can anyone give me recipe how to CURRENTLY farm gold/items on Inferno Act 1? I'm going to buy some gold find stuff, however I don't know how/where to farm since everything is so fast fixed/nerfed. I really want to go to Act 2, but without at least 25k DPS it's not worth it. I feel like I'm REALLY poor in this game and everyone else is rich since they know how to. It really sucks. | ||

It really sucks. just buy a 1k dps weapon or public game to leech item/$$ off the run.If not then kite all the way to win. | ||

It really sucks. stop stacking so much hp and get some actual damage. 16k dps means you're probably not running glass canon/ force weapon which is a must. If your weapon is shit buy a 1100-1200 dps blue 2 hander for <300k get 30-40k dps 20-25k hp 300 allres. run FA, glass cannon, and force weapon. flux AO/hydra as your left/right click. Make sure u have at least 1.3 atk speed so u can kite properly then start stacking crit. and u can faceroll (meaning u can kite elites for 5 minutes) up to act3. Last 2 skills should be Diamond skin (21k hp rune) and Teleport/Fracture. If u really want u can switch AO with blizzard but i prefer AO by FAR. I'm farming Azmodan like he's a joke with 52k dps 22k hp. | ||
