Ok, I gotta vent a bit here...
Who the fuck invented treasure goblins? Did he ever sit down 5 seconds to think that it was free loot for ranged dps class and a bitchslap to the face for melee? The bastard's immune to interrupts and stun, and even if you somehow trap it, you can barely kill it in time if Tyrael helps you and you already have 3 stacks of Sweeping Wind.
Ranged already kills faster and run faster; you don't have to give them free shit on top of it.
*sigh*

Currently playing my monk and rolling through act2 inferno after buying some good stuff on the auctionhouse for 200k or so; i dont really know why all of you are having so many problems. Although some elites are pretty annoying most of them are doable when cycling through cd's and kiting when all of em are down.

What I dont get is most equipment required for act 2 wont EVER drop on act 1 how did u guys earn millions to get them ? T.T

Whatever didn't drop for me in act 1 (a lot of stuff DID in act 1 to help me get through act 1 or farm it faster at least) you can buy off the AH. It's not that things DONT drop in act 1 that are good for act 2 it's just that the chance of getting an item that's good for YOU is quite low. If you get 1 rare every 1 run that's good for someone in act 2 inferno eventually by the way AH works you should have a full set in 20 runs or so. Obviously the reality is you have to farm a bit more but you can definitely get through act2 inferno with only act 1 gear if you farm long enough.

It's harder for melee classes to accidentally startles the treasure goblin. In inferno I almost always wipe everything on hte map/level before starting an attack on treasure goblin.

How are all the monks speccing who cry about not beeing able to get through act2 ? I can hardly imagine having problems when u have a 3 seconds blind 1.5 sec fear and 4 sec invulnerable with pretty low cooldowns, when they are down just kite (possible against most elites)

Honestly it's not that bad. I've gained almost nothing gear wies from act 2 and I can easily farm act 2 and finished siegebreaker on act 3 all I got was gear from AH which was paid for by warden butcher runs. You can say well guys who won't use AH AND won't trade items are going to have a hard time well no shit because only about at best 20% of the good items you find will be useable to you and much more likely <5% because of all the repeat slots you'll get and you won't get say wrist slots but some other dudes getting 5 wrist slots all about equally as good. The point is AH massively speeds up g earing so they can't make it too easy to gear up.
I actually cleared act 2 without using the blind, fear, and only 3 seconds invulnerable, lol
I get REALLY bored of just using deadly reach and CC to be honest, takes so long.

I only have 11k dps, and I kill them on inferno everytime. I don't see your problem =[

Except that your follower, or random NPCs, or the Ally, or the floor traps, or Sweeping Wind through walls will also startle them. But yeah, probably really annoying, particularly when you have to move towards the bottom of the screen. On June 04 2012 10:16 Holytornados wrote:Show nested quote +On June 04 2012 09:18 Pwere wrote: Ok, I gotta vent a bit here...

*sigh* I only have 11k dps, and I kill them on inferno everytime. I don't see your problem =[ I have 21k, 30k+ with Faith in the Light, and I can sometimes (10%?) kill one in act 3, never in act 4. The only way I found was to drop dodge rune for Thunderclap, but then it makes everything else harder. Deadly Reach is nice because you can more easily glitch their AI in the corner, but you also deal less damage so it still doesn't work act 4.

*sigh* Just spam shoryuken, as long as you kick it away and not into a wall it's doable most of the time. What's more annoying is that stupid enchantress pulling it when you're not even close.

For monks, a 750 dps weapon with bonus minimum damage, attack speed and life on hit start around 600k... Not to mention the scaling difference on weapons between dh's and monks is ridiculous and the fact that dh's play so much easier they also: - start with full hatred/discipline after death - can regen discipline standard without skills/runes - can regen hatred by shift shooting into the air (but who cares since they start full after death anyway) - can get away really fast from anything except being walled in or jailedand i could go on for a while but you get my point It's sad really because i really like the monk but these differences make it seem so useless to play at the moment
they can smoke out of jail :D

Problem here is that in D3 all the gear that is dropped is only viable in the act that it's dropped. You pretty much need to use the AH if you want to progress though inferno. Stuff like this just increases farming time for others. I would like: Verdor singularity. You can only buy 1 of the same item off a vendor. Prevents people cashing from these. AH cooldown. Items can only sell once in a period of time on the AH, goodbye mass resellers) AH wear. Items will only be x% (eg.90%) as strong once sold on AH. They're still very decent, but the best gear can only be found by yourself.
