Since content is likely to be a huge joke now with the nerf, helm will probably have a topaz for magic find instead of an amethysts for %life while the rest of your armor will probably have more Rubies than Amethysts. Gemming rubies is solely for DPS, the armor provided is sort of not relevant. Amethysts will provide the same amount of armor with the Nerves of Steel passive. | ||

What is everyones opinion on the overall patch? I think it's pretty shitty and doesn't really address a lot of the fundamental problems with the game. They seemed to just take a meat clever to various aspects without thinking of the ramifications or long term replayability when making the cuts. | ||

The reason d2 lasted 10 years is because everything was quick and efficient. I'm not sure how much time I have left in this game tbh, I was looking forward to this patch but seems like a dud. On a brightside, maybe they nerfed mobs enough that I can go straight up 2h beat ass mode barbarian. That could be fun. I doubt it though, ^^. | ||

Can't say anything about run speed since it doesn't help my DH is dying left and right to mortar and I'm typing this at the same time instead of spamming Frenzy. Sorry DH, 30k+ repair bills T_T 2H is definitely viable, I might even buy a 1600 DPS 2H later today. I can sit there in plague tanking horde blood clan maulers and the casters, both elite packs. Previously if that happened, I'd die instantly to fireballs. I use traditional tank passives with superstition, nerves of steel, and tough as nails. For actives, I use Leap, Revenge, War Cry, WotB, Frenzy, and Threatening Shout. Probably need to switch out some defensive passives for DPS and Threateaning Shout for something else. Might get rid of LoH as well but it's nice to be able to type and than heal yourself back to full. | ||

Mine goes like this - Primary Weapon Throw - Ricochet glyph Secondary Battle Rage - Into The Fray glyph Then for 1, 2, 3, 4. (Q, W, E, R for some) I have; Ignore Pain - Ignorance is Bliss glyph Wrath of Berserker - Insanity glyph Ancient Spear - Skirmish glyph War Cry - Charge! glyph (Can use Hardened Wrath or Impunity) And for passives I have; Ruthless No Escape Weapons Master My gear is not very good for this build but I have 43% crit chance and 340% crit hit damage. As well as some IAS which is really helpful too. You NEED high crit chance for this build to work (so make sure you have an Axe / Mace in your mainhand!) otherwise you just don't get the Fury gain for it to be worth it, you also should be dual wielding for the IAS and stat gain(Increased Crit Damage). And an item with reduced fury cost on Weapon Throw will be semi-needed as it helps so much. It's take a little to get used to it, especially trying to figure out when you need to use Ancient Spear but it's incredibly funny watching melee chasing after a mob when you chain Spear it because your crit is so high. Gotta say the build is a LOT of fun to mess around on, I can do butcher runs pretty easily as you can kite everything. Shielding / invuln / mortar and waller give me a lot of trouble though. But I can kill them most of the time, except invuln, I just skip them usually. When with a group and you have 2 tanks (Barb / monk so good) you can sit at the back and wail on them really hard it's a lot of fun I'm basically a manly Demon Hunter. That dies easier. | ||
