Also, I bought a 2h with 950 loh some time ago and it's quite amazing. The synergy with the iron impact + iron hide build is really really good. A shield is not needed to stay alive in the window where you're using leap or ignore pain are already providing crazy mitigation, and the 2h helps out dishing high damage during it. I find myself switching between 1h+shield and 2h depending on the fight or even during a fight itself. Quite sure now it's the funniest and best setup I've played so far (iron impact, dreadnought, iron hide, provocation, sidearm, impunity, high loh 1h+shield and high loh 2h). | ||

Also, I'm quite geared for act 4, just killed izual and haven't avoided any elite pack so far. I'm just not geared for the wotb+eq build (I'd need a high dps 2h for that - mine is only 1180). | ||

The extra defense, resistance to all, and- most importantly- blocking of damage (i.e. Chance to block) are pretty important, and it's usually worth sacrificing some extra dps. Just some food for thought  | ||

But weapon with LOH is super super expensive. I want a weapon that has about 700 dps, 100% crit dmg, and ~300 LOH but they are all so expensive... Can your dps go down if you dual wield? I might just get a shit weapon with 200 dps but with amazing LOH and crit dmg bonus haha. How does tornado work anyways? :/ | ||

also just curious are there any sets with bonuses worthwhile for barbarians ive seen a few with +res all bonuses but the items themselves arent really designed for barbs | ||

You also need a lot more health, I'd say you should probably aim for about 45k health, give up some strength if you have to. While looking at new items it might also be worth trying to find some extra physical and fire resistance, usually people don't really charge extra for those but they will really help you out. Life on hit is nice, but not really as important as people make it seem. If you post a screen with all your items I could try to give you some more specific advice on what to upgrade. | ||

Also is there any way for me to farm gold fast for better items. wow that res looks awful. maybe you need gear with str/vit/allres? could explain why you can't progress past act 1. i do about half as much base damage as you (13k or so) but i'm running about 750 AR before the impunity war cry buff, i end up with a little less HP (41k) but i can do fine against most elite mobs in a2 save the really bad rolls (like descerator/arcane/plagued and such, but in those instances either skip the mobs or just have to do some kiting around). and i'd ditch the 2h weapon. 1h + shield > 2h for survival in inferno all day. grab a cheap shield with 18-20% block with some good affixes (+life, crit hit chance, str, vit, allres, anything like that), because 27-28% block shields are just priced up the wazoo right now and it's probably not worth it if you're looking for a cheap upgrade (but if you can afford it, feel free to get a 28%+ stormshield with good affixes). also think about grabbing a nice 800+ dps 1 hander with some good affixes like str or LOH. skill wise i think you have it wrong. you NEED revenge with provocation rune even with the ~400 LOH you're running, that gets you back a huge chunk of health and helps you survive those elite mob fights. drop battle rage and seismic slam. i'd use impunity with war cry since your res is woefully lacking but maybe that extra 50% on top of the 130-140 AR won't help that much anyways. and try out furious charge with dreadnought - it's really helpful in helping you get health back when you charge mobs, and also doubles as an escape tool to help you get out of sticky situations. leap with iron impact can also help which does a similar sort of thing but i prefer the healing from furious charge. i use wrath of the berserker too as that panic button that's useful at times to quickly clean up a mob that has bad affixes so it's fine to keep it. anyways i just started a barb so that's my 2 cents on it, more experienced barbs can chime in who are better than myself. | ||

I've been farming that spot last weekend, swapping to mf gear at last second to get 200+ (not really a problem, since as long as they keep casting lighting you can do it with no hurry at all - but sometimes i just save an ignore pain for that in case my enchantress decides to chicken the big guy, cause when he de-hexes he will use his affixes at least once, and molten/desecrator/plagued/arcane can kill you real fast in mf gear). It's a good spot already I think, and after 1.0.3 it can get a lot better, since once you get the checkpoint you can do one in about 2/3 mins, including TPing back to town for faster regame. Farmed it for close to 10-15 hours or so, and drops have been good, but of course very inconsistent: found an awesome replacement for my bracers (str/vit/int/pys res/allres, all quite high) plus close to 2 mil in stuff for AH. Not to mention that keeping the lvl60 vendor trash for salvaging got me close to 3 full stacks of exquisite essences, which mean 200k each in AH. But god, is it boring. Between the "You will not enter the acqueduct" blah blah, Leah spouting ALWAYS the exact same piece of monologue and the extreme amount of repetition involved, I was ready to start punching the screen after 6 hours or so of that crap. Still, I'd suggest it for anyone struggling to get to the end of act 2 or getting demolished as soon as they stick their nose out in act 3. Just bring some resistances and a couple good audiobooks. | ||

I miss my barb a lot but I just can't bring myself to play it with how easy I farm cydrea->azmodan on my 6.5M DH. Hopefully I'll get enough drops to make my barb godlike for next patch. I applaud those of you sticking with it. | ||
