I guess you could consider me a "tank barb", and I tank em quite comfortably. They hit hard though, but the blood clan warriors/mages I feel are worse : /
Got tired of running spider+azmo in co-op so I went to kill diablo with five stacks before the nerf. If this can be of any use, here are my stats as well as my build and gear: + Show Spoiler +
I actually had a 90xDPS sword with 300LOH at the time of the kill and I was also using another amulet with LoH. I recently went for more DPS by getting Berserker Rage, gemming strength instead of vitality and getting armor pieces like my chest armor that had no AR at all. I find sitting at my current resistances and armor pretty comfortable and overall it feels much better than when I had lower str/vita but about 1100+ res with impunity up.
So I have made a good-bye picture of my barb, tommorow im selling everything when RMAH opens. I need an opinion on the weapon (self found today! :D), should I sell it for 200 euro or go e-bay or somthing with it to get more? http://i.imgur.com/hnvF2.jpg

Its been alot of fun barb, RIP
not sure about the EU market but I sold a worse 1h for $235 within an hour or two of posting it on NA.

You need 5 more strength.
Took me a while but I see it now... What a shame the servers are down, this is unacceptable.
crms - Thank you for your opinion(s), I decided that i'll just sell it for 200 euro to avoid any complications
thank you everyone for your help im in the process of getting more str on my items and that wasnt actually my main build posted but mines even more defensive so ive now incorporated seismic slam with the lowered fury cost rune and then swapped out inspiring presence for thorns+armor but from the little i just read about psystarcrafts style and your comments on my build would it benefit me to get a 2h and go into that style as well?
What's up guys? Surprised to see the only topic of discussion being the 2hander or tank.
Did you give an honest try to the double tornado build?
It took me hours to get used to the gameplay and understand it, but it's pretty awesome even with my shitty gear. Fun factor is a big part, I'd like to know how viable it is in Act3/4 but my gear sucks too much to give it an honest try (well I did kill Iskatu w/ my 5k armor 35k hp, but he's probably a joke even in inferno).
I finished Inferno on my Wizard a few days ago, and now I've got a Barb starting Act 1 Inferno.
Looking at the most gear setups here, it seems like the usual primary stat/vitality/all resistance style (like what I did on my Wizard). I know for Barbs, it's towards more Vitality right? Is that still the way to go?
As for skill builds, I went all out DPS (high critical chance and damage) for Normal until the end of Hell, but I don't think that will work on Inferno, since I got to be defensive this time. Is this the recommended skill build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WSXVkg!beV!acacca
I can't seem to find a place for either Wrath Berserker or Earthquake, do people have one or both together? Am I being TOO defensive? Are most people still doing 1-hand with shield? Life on Hit, increased attack speed on all items available too? 12% movement speed a must?
Thanks in advance. I'm looking forward to finishing Inferno on my Barb too. I feel it would be A LOT easier than doing it my Wizard... I spent 15-20 million gold just to be properly geared.

Your skills are probably more defensive then they have to be. I'd say if you pick one out of leap, charge and shout you should be fine. For the other 2 slots I'd take ignore pain and wrath of the berserker. As for gear, I would check out this video by zravex. It basically shows him gearing up his barb from scratch for 1m gold. He actually manages to get enough gear to do act1 and 2 (US server, this is significantly more expensive on EU).
It's pretty easy to gear a barb for act 1 and 2, but actually finishing inferno requires alot of gold, wizard and demon hunter can do act 3/4 with significantly less gear then melee classes. I hope the video will answer all your questions, but feel free to ask more.

Ignore Pain is good but the cooldown seems to be too long for a skill that only lasts 5 seconds. WotB, I feel the same way, but I see it a skill being used strictly for elites/champs... I'll make adjustments according to your suggestion. How about Earthquake?

I think every build except Tank McGee will have some downtime between cooldowns. (By Tank McGee I mean the build with frenzy and 5 defensive skills, no fury spender).
Ignore Pain is wonderful. The cooldown IS long, but it's because during those 5 seconds, you are invulnerable, especially if you take the 20% life steal rune.
I recently tried the EQ, WotB, Seismic slam build for 2H, it's pretty damn good. The only problem is I want to find my own build so I think tonight I'll put it down and keep working on my own version of the 2H.
If you have high life on hit on your gear, iron hide can be better than ignorance is bliss, since the life on hit and revenge should be enough to stay alive. With iron hide, it's possible to chain leap > ignore pain > leap which is really really good.
And yeah I can't play without ignore pain anymore either. Some mobs hurt so much that I can only engage them with iron impact or ignore pain up :/ it's also a great oh-shit button when you get jailed or walled next to an arcane laser with leap/charge down etc.

Eschew?
Well, you still require Vit, resists, armor, obviously. But since monsters die faster, they have less time to hurt you. It SORT OF balances out. I'm still working on getting that equilibrium right.
