800-950 resist all 48,000-55,000 HP 12,000-17,000 DPS 1295 LoH 27.5% melee damage reduction 3% ranged damage reduction 11,000 armor 46% block (27% SS, HoC 8%, Justice 11%) I give ranges because I didn't always use the same gem/gear sets. I only found the runs to be efficient if i tanked for a group. Soloing these runs was pretty boring, slow and I'd have to skip certain packs. This is why I sold my 'tank' gear on the RMAH, went cheap 2H spec, and rerolled a DH to farm with. | ||

i was wondering because my barb only has 700k EHP (850k EHP w dodge) but 700k seemed to be the break point in which i was able to start easily farming act 3 and do 5 stack act 4 runs. when i was at 550k or 600k EHP i couldn't even kill white packs very easily. my stats are: 73k DPS 735 physical resist 40k HP 900 LoH 3% Lifesteal 7299 armor stats are with war cry, enchantress, and nerves of steel. | ||

Your other stats seem pretty nice, but I think where you are really hurting is in the HP department. | ||

Now, Act 2 is a totally different story, as I get shit on easily by almost anything. Now after spending 2.3 million for pretty much a new gear all around except weapon, I'm going to see if I'm able to clear the whole Act 2 at least. I'll repost and quote myself if results are good. I'm trying to compare with how I progressed with my Wizard... I beat Inferno Diablo last week, but it cost me about 15 million to beat it, but not easy progress though. Hopefully not as slow, hard and expensive as my Barb. | ||

Ok, so you need a lot more vit, the cheapest way to get it at this point is probably replacing your amulet. for about 500k you can get an amulet with ~ 180 str and ~ 200 vit. This should get you about 8k extra health. You can make up for the resists you lose by replacing your belt with a similar one that has AR on it, shouldn't be too expensive either. The next thing you'll need is a better shield. You want a "sacred shield", they are the ones with block amount 3.7k-4.7k. Try to search for one with block chance of more then 25, depending on your budget you could try to get more stats, but they are quite expensive. You want to get some new shoulders. Shoulders can roll really high strength, and your current ones don't even have any vitality at all. You probably want to replace that strength gem in your ring by a vit one, and you eventually want to get either rings with all resist and some more stats, or a Justice lantern (very expensive). Your pants have 2 sockets, but no vit other then that, which is kind of a waste, because they can also roll really high vit, you could look for an upgrade on those. The important thing is that while you're looking for upgrades you don't give up too much other stats in favor of vitality, just make sure you end up with around 45k health and still have around 1350 strength. If you play solo also make sure you bring along the enchantress, she gives you some extra armor. I'm also by no means an expert, I'm speaking purely from my own experience, so if anyone thinks I'm wrong by all means say so. | ||

For my other two characters, the WD and a Wiz, all I did was stack topaz. But since Barb is a melee, would the armor added from strength offset the HP gained from vitality or vice versa? | ||
