Anyone has recommendation for gears actually? I actually wish D3 profiles are up, so i can link it.

We don't even know when that will be 1.1....Now 1.02 is done but 1.03 is coming in a few weeks. So we don't even know, at least 1 month away. I wouldn't worry about spending gold. If they do upgrade all the legendarys by quite a bit then we will have something else to work towards  . I had both Kymbo and Maras personally I think Kymbos is better for the life hit as long as you get some melee reduction from other items. Also if you don't mind spending a okay amount to get Firewalkers. Firewalkers?

They have movement speed, melee reduction, and also can get Vit on them from the random modifier.

I'm torn wondering if I should be saving up for a nice new weapon with LOH/socket or if I should try for a good SOE.
I asked this in the other simple questions thread but thought I'd ask here too as I could get a more specific answer.
How do you guys do your warden/butcher runs? Do you just start by heading on down to the warden and hope you get 5 stacks before you get to him? Or do you go find some random elites around to get 5 stacks before you head to the warden? Also do you guys skip normal mobs or do you just kill everything you encounter on the way?

I start quest at the Cursed Hold. By time i go reach Warden i will definitely be at 5stack. There's no need to go up. Just keep walking down will hit 5stacks easily

Yeah thats what I've been doing, although I've found on 1 or 2 occasions sometimes I'll get to the warden with only 4 stacks if I'm unlucky.

You have the right idea.
Natalya's Soul are better boots than Fire Walkers imo. Boots without movement speed is like fail.
Rings and amulets are the most expensive pieces of gear, besides weapons of course. Rare rings with 50+ resist all, strength, vitality, and a socket are usually the best unless you are looking for +life on hit or dmg reduction than Bands of Fallen Heroes, Eternal Union, Bul-Kathos's, Band of Hollow Whispers, and Skull Grasp are good.
Kymbo's Gold is a good inexpensive piece since only Barbs are looking for it. Too many Kymbo's, not enough Barbs.
If you want a good Stormshield for cheap, you'll need to camp AH 24/7 with money on hand. There's been plenty of under 5mil Stormshields with 25%+ block.
Chest, you'll probably just want a rare with resist all, str, and vit. Sockets would be a nice bonus. Goldskin was cheap last time I checked, has resist all and reduce melee dmg. I'm using one right now but it's dirt ugly that needs replacing ><

I just start quest 9. Going through Halls of Agony level 1 and level 2 usually gives you 3-4 stacks though occasionally I've only came out of there with 1 stack... Once you've free'd the prisoners, you should be at five stacks (sometimes three or four if you're unlucky).
I kill most mobs and open all the weapon racks and chests that are along the way. It's about 80k gold (just vendor blues and pickup, not including gems / tomes / AH quality gear) on a good run, 40k gold on a bad run.

Just head over to Field of Misery and you can usually find an elite or two. Same with Festering Woods, then you can just tp back through your portal for the boss

I just realised there's a ring Justice Lantern...that gives a guaranteed 11% block chance. With my 23% block shield, that means its 33%. Thats pretty huge jump? If i get a 25% block that is 36% chance. Wow. Definitely a must get ring imo. If you use a Helm of Command(guaranteed 8%block)...it means 19% block + your shield's own block. Hitting 40+ block % is going to be so sick. Best roll Stormshield 32% + 19 = 51% block rate?
Damage that your going to be taking after all your resist/reduction...with another 50% chance to block average 4k damage. This is sick?

You guys ever think that gear and items will get to a point where you could farm inferno while dual wielding instead of having to use a shield? I think that's gonna be my ultimate end goal for my barb. To be able to clear all of Inferno while dual wielding.

I'm not going to play for a month so I liquidated all of my assets. The reasoning is that prices are going to drop over that month (on similar gear as more is found as well as better gear being found) and then when I come back I can buy better gear. For reference: I have ~5mil after liquidating and I was a barb that was farming the Butcher and unable to get far into Act 2.
Edit: Well, I didn't sell any gems or materials or my magic find gear. I liquidated pretty much all of my valuable pieces of gear and a lot of the other junk.
Edit2: Also, I'm not sure how the RMAH will affect prices. Will be fun to see what happens though!

So guys, how much should i be looking to expend for a String of Ears? and also, which ring would you guys recommend (specific one or just general stats i should pursue, whichever works out better)?
And i also need a shield upgrade but i cant afford a stormshield, what do i do?
Lastly, a little upgrade on my progress! I've managed to beat magdha on act2 =). I havent tried to go further yet but i feel like i need some gear improv

On Warden/Butcher Runs: I've been going to Northern Highlands and checking for the Watch Tower side-dungeon before heading into the Cursed Hold. It's a dungeon with a very tight layout that usually has 3 champion packs and either a resplendent chest or 1-2 more rare packs. Very easy way to pick up stacks whle also getting a nice chunk of loot along the way, which puts less pressure on me to look hard for champs in Halls of Agony, so I can focus on getting to the exit.

Depends how good of a String you want. 300-500k is fine for a lower-end String, but don't be afraid to spend up to 1 mil if you really want a good one that will last a long time.

Just look for rares. Most non-Barbs don't price out block % properly, so if you spend some time hunting, you can get some good high-block shields for cheap. People just overprice Stormshields because they're a well known name (been in the game since Diablo I).
Also, I hate how you can't filter/sort based on intrinsic stats. I don't give a shit about these 10% block shields. Why can't I filter my sort by % block chance?

Good random props, high -% melee damage roll, good life on hit roll. Good armor and resist rolls are also nice, but probably slightly less important.
When hunting legendaries, always check the game guide for what ranges the stats can roll in, so you can properly appraise the value of what you're getting.

Hey guys, I just cleared Act 1 really easily, died a few times on nasty elite combos but nothing was really hard, the butcher died within 2 minutes. Farmed 5 stacks SK a few times, but I wanted to see how Act 2 goes... I die on the normal mobs there... quite a difference lol.

Resistances are without the shout, I do use that though.
As you can see I don't have a lot of gold right now, I have absolutely no luck with items, pretty much every rare is vendor trash as well.
Any upgrades I should work for besides stormshield? Should I farm warden-butcher a lot more and hope for a lot of items that sell on the AH or are just an upgrade for me?
Should I just get tons of resistance to all on most of my items, together with vitality/life%?

I dont think you have the gear for act2. As it has been discussed over, string of ears might be more cost efficient at first. AR on most of the pieces is nice
