Hello I think the main thing I need is more life but what after that?

Also with WotB I am suprised that more are not using the thrive on chaos rune. For bigger fights it lets me at least double the time in the WotB mode. Unless the answer is that yall are killing every thing so fast that you cant get the extra furry.

Umm ToC is a core of the current WW builds which are used like 70% of time from the top barbs.
On the topic of HoA. I just tried the explained Battle Rage(+Bloodshed). It is quite funny. You could change cleave for bash(+4fury). Since you will crit with bash too it kinda acts like a cleave+ruptre. At elast in crater and scropions :D My problem is the fury. When I was mobbing battlefields I had several points where i was just sprinting away and low on fury. Will experiment more with it, quite fun approach to HoA.

I dont think wotb is really necessary here though, trash dies instantly, and elites dies very quickly even without wotb anyways, whenever I used wotb it felt like a waste. Instead I think that ignore pain-iron hide and sprint-marathon are much more useful here, ignore pain allows you to spam HoA under arcane/molten/desc with very low defenses, and marathon allows you to easily chase down ranged elites and reposition if needed. Not concerned about lifesteal at all, at 100k dps or so you get more than enough life steal from the 3% passive. bloodshed sounds really good with this build, but wouldnt you have fury problems without into the fray? I remember when I ran marauders rage I had to cleave elites a lot more than HoA. Im also a bit indecisive between 1h + shield and 2h with this build, feels like the damage is already so high most of the time it feels like I can easily kill anything in time, 1h + shield seems more valuable with the extra defenses than 2h, Im curious if this will change with a new 50m skorn I bought on impulse. https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/INeedLings-1648/hero/3247163 The synergy between LL and Twohanded base damage is just too nice to drop my lovly 1,3k dps, 113%critd 6%LL +200str 2hand. I mean if someone wants to give me his Skorn with LL for free I would imediatly throw my axe away Just today I was testing around with various Shield-Ideas I came up with. What I gathered: You need a shield with at least 200 str, and 10% crit (also with decent block% and AR) to make it viable. If you got such a shield just try if the LL is still high enough. I used Ignoranc(+bliss) alot too untill i switched to Lamentation and 6%LL twohanded, then I felt it was just useless. When you push ur damage up enough so you can crit constantly for 400-700k you shouldn't have any problem o.O 1.3k dps, crit damage, str and ll?! now I feel stupid buying a 1.3k dps, 500 str, and 170 crit damage skorn for 50m -.-
for 1h+ shield though, is the ll really that necessary though? feels like just the 3% from the passive by itself can already heal me from 0 to 100% in 2-3 crits. Im probably biased cus I really like my current belt, dps will take a nosedive if I switch to lamentation. Also, wouldnt a slower, stronger weapon give you a stronger feeling of "wasted" damage, and unable to target new targets as fast? since even with my current 1h+shield setup my crits seem to easily one shot trash and kill elites fairly fast with pretty consistent 400-500k crits.

Im using sprint in every build cause it makes farming so much more effcient. I don't need ignore pain because of my LL so swaping that with WotB felt as i said more like a waste. And if you have elites like "Illusionst, Jailer, Plague, Frozen" I often got trashed cause of perm rooting/freezing.
for me, ignore pain and wotb serves a similar purpose, with both skills I use them against incoming ccs. feels like ignore pain is better mostly because of the shorter cd, when I ran wotb I noticed that its on cd a lot between elites. ignore pain also felt really good vs high damage affixes on kiting elites, something wotb doesnt really help as much against. guess Ill test it out later with a 2h weapon.
another concern with a 2h weapon, how do you avoid being bursted almost instantly vs some of the higher damaging elites, do you just buy more defense?
thrive on chaos is extremely good on ww barbs because you can keep it up almost permanently, but I like insanity better because 99% of the time when I use wotb I dont even need the 15 seconds, so might as well get more damage

Running the bloodshed spec right now on PTR mlvl 5

It's for those mobs that you take WotB with Insanity. You kill them first before they kill you. You go in with Ignore Pain and WotB and you kill them during those 5 seconds. Then if they're not dead, you run around waiting for Ignore Pain to come back up and you finish them of.
Of course having more resist tends to diminish the number of time you really need WotB but it's always nice to have it around when they have the most annoying affixes. Just be careful of Reflect Damage if you don't have enough LL... xD

hmm, moldran, buleh and bloodshot just did the uberbosses on mlvl 10 on stream. buleh and bloodshot hat 5 piece ik set and had no trouble with keeping their fury up, moldran had his pvp gear and had fury issues. (despite sick gear that cant be any better basically..) after he switched to ik, the fury issues are gone.
oh my... the thing i had feared the most. plz dont make the nado proc rate nerf lead to ww/sprint barbs crucially relying on a stupid overexpensive set bonus to work.

First time barb player here and would like some gear advice for a post 1.04/1.05 WW barb. So far I've just quickly geared myself because I was bored. I know I still need to get more LoH/life steal but what else should I focus on? Budget around 30 mil.
Thanks

I played on the PTR with my barb. Honestly as long as the mlvl is high enough so that mobs don't insta die I had no problems keeping WotB up without IK set or Animosity (I do use a mighty weapon however).
I have 1400 LoH and 2.8% LS; at lower mlvls I dropped my 600 LoH ammy and it felt relatively safe (just cuz stuff dies fast), the higher mlvl I went the more LoH helped. It felt relatively safe for me to drop Warcry for Rend (or anything) up to mlvl 4-5 where stuff still died relatively quickly. After mlvl 6 things start to get shady against some packs without using Warcry (like double pack of succubi + phase beast, also rend seemed to hurt more than help against reflect damage mobs with tons of hp) just because things don't die fast enough so the extra damage mitigation really helps.

Hi Guys, For those playing PTR.Just finished putting together the Infernal Machine Portal device and solo'd the first duo boss in the Realm of Discord which was the Skeleton King and Magda. And because it took me a few goes i loss my NV and forgot all about it so all I got as my reward was a 1 rare and 1 blue lol terrible. For those who don't know already how to put this together some screens are below.I got all the keys and machine plan first go drops with 5 Stack and Monster Power 10.
Key Locations http://imgur.com/WbN3z - you can tell inferno monster level 10 from top right of screen Act 1 - Key 1 - Fields Of Misery Act 2 - Key 2 - Dagular Oasis Act 3 - Key 3 - Stonefort Act 4 - Plan - Silver Spire Lvl 1
And once you craft the device you go back to Act 1 town to the house behind the healer to activate the machine, screenshots of keys, device and location http://i.imgur.com/37P8z.jpg
Boss health and not so good victory loot (highly recommend to keep getting 5 stack valor if you're about to drop)http://imgur.com/11pTd
Once you have used the device you have to regather the keys and recraft the device to go against the uber bosses again.

So I just picked up a new off hand and belt for cheap to try and get on the ll bandwagon before the patch and prices explode. I am sort of poor right now since everyone seems to be holding on to their gold until the patch but is 575 loh and 5.5% ll enough to sustain my ww barb? (Was previously 1300 loh with no ll)
My Profile for reference.
I wish I could log into the PTR to try things out for myself but it kicks me everytime.

Wow that is bizarre, thanks for the info!

tried the language switch trick a couple of times, still doesnt let me in : (

I switched the language and I was able to make a new char, then I clicked the button on the top right to transfer my characters and after the transfer I got booted off b.net. I had to restart the client before it would let me back on b.net.

Well, if it's useful, i will leave my profile here. With my current gear i'm able to do mlvl5 act3 runs pretty good, with decent speed and all. I'm using shield because without it i die almost instaneously.
Note that i'm with zero loh, and i don't require the aditional armor that war cry provides me, so i was testing how good revenge behaves with the other skills (as far as i noticed, it is awesome).
