wouldn't 2h still be superior in the sense that you could build crit / crit damage and rely on WOTB for elites? Since the white mobs are a joke now, you'll plow through them regardless.

Question to those with SoE, HoC, SS--you know, the rich muddafuckas. Do you guys feel the hits from the Swift Cleaver skele guys from Act3 Keeps?
Holy shit, do they hurt. I just run from elites because of how much the normal ones hurt. Never even tried fucking with them. I ran into a shielding affix one and thought you're shitting me.

Yeah, DW was already the funniest way to play barb (for me at least) pre-patch and it's even more the case now. It's much more viable now also since it's easier to get rid of the shield. Since each hit benefits of the combined LoH of both weapons + armor it should be possible to get a really really nice setup with 2k+ LoH and fast attack speed (especially if using spears w/ weapons master, swords might still be better though). The biggest issue is that high-dps and high-LoH one-handers are expensive as fuck.

I only have HoC and SS. They're nothing compared to phase beasts.

With teleport (double!!!), more health, life steal and reflect.

Weird. I haven't encountered the skeleton guys since the patch, but phase biests are a joke. The only ones who ever get me below 50% health are elites. I only have SS, no HoC or SoE

I was talking about elites. White mobs are a waste of time, I just run past them and if they keep following than they just die to revenge.

What do you think of Vanguard rune for Frenzy? I'm tired of mobs that run away :D

Need some advise guys. I just upgrade my gear and find out that i have no pick up radius. It is kind of irritating that I have to walk over the money to pick it up. However, it has some benefit when I kill all the white mobs and they left the health globe, it will not automatically picked up and i can use leap or charge to get them later during an elite fight. There are also time that I die with health globe just 5 yard away from me and i can not reach it because I am on cooldown with leap. What is your suggestion from your experience?

For my experience, a totally random and unwanted +7 pickup radius on chest armor has saved my life sooooooo many times.

Now, Act 2 is a totally different story, as I get shit on easily by almost anything. Now after spending 2.3 million for pretty much a new gear all around except weapon, I'm going to see if I'm able to clear the whole Act 2 at least.
I'll repost and quote myself if results are good.
I'm trying to compare with how I progressed with my Wizard... I beat Inferno Diablo last week, but it cost me about 15 million to beat it, but not easy progress though. Hopefully not as slow, hard and expensive as my Barb. So I'm quoting myself a few pages back to report on my current results/progress... I've got good and bad news. Good news is that I cleared whole Act 2 with no re-gearing required. Got up to Zultan Kulle pre-patch, then killed him post-patch. I ripped through Act 2 no problem without much deaths (maybe 5 at most). I was even using Marauder's Rage for more DPS and breezed through Act 1 and 2. I took on Belial being enraged quite easily too. The bad news is, I can't progress Act 3 now. So for Act 3, I tried using Intimidate instead of Marauder's Rage but still getting raped. Now I'm in Act 3 in the Keep Depths, and I don't progress fast enough and efficiently since I'm dying to most elite packs (repair bill stinks). I don't have IAS nor critical chance/damage items so my DPS isn't inflated. Here is my current gear: http://i.imgur.com/ffO9F.jpgOverall stats (shows backup amulet): http://i.imgur.com/mH0Bj.jpgSkill build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WgTVkP!beV!aabccZI have not made considerable upgrades since finishing Act 2, in fact only picked up a pair of 450k rings I have on right now (not sure if good deal?) and a life on hit amulet as backup. My best item is definitely my shield, but it's too bad it doesn't have 20% block chance. I am with Enchantress that has armor and IAS buffs. What is my problem? Is my DPS too little? Do I really need more Life on Hit (more than my backup amulet)? Can I change either my gear and/or skill set to progress? I have to depend on health globes to keep me alive me against elites in Act 3, and that's only helping me too because I got a 14 yard radius... So what now? I admit, all items are from GAH, and got them for VERY good deals, at least I think so. I've spent probably only 3.5 million gold for everything, but I'm ready to spend another 6 million or so to re-gear for improvement. Thanks for any help/advice/tips You need better block % so a better shield, helm of command, or justice lattern. Your rings and amulet could use upgrading, try and get DPS since you already have the required HP and resist to beat the game. Socketed items would also be huge upgrade (chest, pants, rings, amulet). If you don't have the DPS to kill elites within WotB / Earthquake or shortly after than yes you need LoH.
Thanks, at my current 6 million gold stash, I don't think I can afford those upgrades. Perhaps I can make use of my real money from the RMAH, about $200 or so.
Any advice from a few others?

Justice Lantern, String of Ears, Stormshield, and Helm of Command are very overrated for the buttfuck ton of money they cost. I was farming A3 Inferno pre-patch without any of these items.
I would spend some money, whether it be gold or dollars, up to you, to upgrade rings and amulet as well with more concentration on DPS. You can also try to replace some existing gears with higher resist gears but more focus on STR than VIT.

I am struggling a little bit in A2 Inferno. Don't have a screenshot but here are my stats and build:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WePRkV!eVU!cZZbcc
60khp, 15k damage, ~280res all (after buff), 19% chance to block, 8k armor with 0 LOH/LOK
What are the areas that I need the most improvement in? In the absence of a screenshot this is hard to answer but any general guidance would be appreciated!

You need to improve your resist. 280 after buff is pathetic.

Hi,
From what I see, the biggest stat you are lacking is +res all. You only have 280 buffed, that's way too low. Pre-patch 1.0.3 I had over 800 all res on my barb to be able to farm act 2 consistently. I'd say get some all res gear and try to get around 600+ res buffed for act 2 seeing it has been nerfed quite a bit. I did act 2 with 0 LOH so that's not really a priority to go for now as it's way to expensive. Maybe try to get a higher block shield too, that also helps out quite a bit.
About your build:
Remove the ignorance is bliss rune, in Inferno this skill is nerfed like hell and it isn't that usefull, you don't get the actual 20%. If you're playing solo, go for the Iron Hide rune, in co-op you can use the Mob Rule rune. You could also switch seismic slam for EQ with The Mountain's Call rune to burst down elites.
WoTB first, then EQ then Ignore Pain then you have 7 seconds to burst them like hell. Most of the time you will get 1 or 2 elites down, with the other elites being low on life This has worked for me on each elite pack i've encountered in act 3. (I personally use charge (dreadnaught), WoTB, EQ, warcry (impunity), revenge (provocation) and frenzy).
But everyone likes other playstyles so it's up to you what you want to use. Seeing you have low res at the moment, I would suggest you to keep Ignore Pain.
Hope this helps you out a bit.

Yeah you need a massive resist buff, drop your life and damage in exchange for resists and you will do fine even if you go 20k lower in life and 3k or more lower in damage, you will survive alot easier in act 2 with 800+ resists after buff, especially if you can get some life on hit and/or life regen. Increased block with a 25% or higher shield, helm of command and/or justice lantern, though that may be too expensive for you any time soon. Search the AH for all armor with 71 resist, and strength and vit of any level and look for deals. your stats are going to drop big time unless you are rich, but the resists are worth it.

I'm assuming this a reply to me? Thanks. Greatly appreciated! I will work on DPS instead. I have enough HP/allres I guess.

I would even say that you shouldn't get all of those items even if you had the money for it. They tend to lower your strength vit and all-resist considerably. 3/4 at most and only if you can get really good ones. Just my personal opinion though, maybe other people think differently.

I'm getting to the point where upgrading will cost me 5+ mill, and can't decide what to upgrade next. I'm having trouble with act 3 on the battlefield where you destroy the ballistas. But before people help me, I have no clue how to make a collage of your gear. Do you just prntscrn and edit with a software?

With most farming methods nerfed in 1.0.3 I've joined most everyone else with the elite slaughtering bonanza. Moved down to Act II where I can kill faster (higher dps from skills/gear due to lower mitigation requirement combined with lower monster health). Stats now look something like this: + Show Spoiler + Next upgrade is probably getting rid of the String of Ears for a heavy Str belt.
Transitioning into maximizing kill speed of elites in order to make money will take some time; skills and gear will have to be reconsidered. Working magic find into regular gear continues to be a challenge.
