Edit: I just put magic weapon back on my bar, over slow time, and phases 1 and 2 are so much easier, and once you get to phase 3 it's just a matter of get out of the green circles, completely doable.

Is there a tell for when he's doing the prison thing other than that it's been a while? It's easy for me to dodge them if I know they're coming but other times I'll be sitting there nuking thinking I'm safe but then I get caught and then die. Does MM+seeker go further than AO? I'm unsure on what I should use as my damage dealer other than venom hydra. What I've been doing is MM+seeker/venom hydra/force weapon/DS/force armor/teleport w/ wormhole. As passives I've been doing glass cannon, arcane flux, and galvanizing ward but I'm not so sure about the last slot. I've been making it into p2 but not getting very far in there. My gear is 41k dps/44k hp/310 resists/4800 armor. I did it with 12% speed on just boots yes. I have though, acquired a Unity ring with attack speed, which I use for movement heavy fights. Lacuni's bracers are also fairly solid. Nope, no tell, I mean, black stuff on ground, be trigger happy with teleport. Also, diamond skin will save you about half the time if you get trapped in a prison. Galvanizing ward is a solid choice because you need to regen in phase 2 a lot without the wells. Your gear meets the minimums for him, but obviously more is better ![]()

My gear is 41k dps/44k hp/310 resists/4800 armor. I bought Unity and Lacuni Prowlers as well to get +25% mvspeed, and it helped a ton. My dps/hp were actually worse than yours (more armor though I guess), but it was very, very easy to dodge pretty much everything. Definitely a worthy investment for that fight imo. Your skill setup is identical to mine, so I can guarantee that works, only difference is the passives. I didn't reckon Galvanizing Ward was very necessary with +25% speed, as you should be able to avoid getting hit by almost everything if you don't screw up, and you always have Crystal Shell / Wormhole / Health Potion if needed, so it was never really a problem. Instead I put in Evocation to make Diamond Skin and Teleport more frequently usable, the latter of which made a pretty big difference imo, as you pretty much always had it available in any sticky situation. Edit: Here's a question of my own to the others that have beaten Dia Inf: what are you doing now? Personally, my one and only goal for days on end was to kill him no matter what, and after doing so I've not really had a goal for my sweet little Topaz. Inferno Whimsyshire is fun and challenging, but it still lacks that little something/something to make it feel worthwile. I mean sure, you can always farm more gold to buy even better gear, but I'm only doing that if I have reason for it. Now that I've killed off the big bad guy at the end, I feel like I'm lacking a reason to farm. Sure, there's gonna be PvP implemented in patch 1.1, which is gonna be fun to try out, but I think they'll redesign so much regarding classes/skills/gear etc, that there are quite simply too many question to preemptively know how to prepare for that, so I'm currently leaving that question unanswered, and I'm leveling up alts instead, and it's a ton of fun. I've got a Barb in mid NM that I'm progressing with with a friend, and also a solo Monk in early NM, but I'm loving the class so it's likely gonna be 60 in a matter of days given how much I can see myself playing it. So, to everyone else, what's your current goals after beating Inferno?

Looks very mindless and boring endgame to me though. As far as Wiz builds go, just go Blizz/Hydra + kiting, all round considered the safest bet nowadays.

I sitting on a 1k weapon, with roughly 1700 int and I'm barely scratching 27k with Force weapon. I just don't see my damage doubeling without stacking attack speed to bloat my dps number. For example I got a pair for 15% gloves, with lowish int, and they're a 2k upgrade over my 250 int gloves, but it just feels..lackluster to switch to. My orbs do less damage, and I do overall less damage per AP. Or am I completely missing the point and IAS is the way to go for abusing hydra/blizzard and Archon gimmicks? That said I'm considering laying my wizard to rest, running for 15 minutes casting blizzard and hydra behind me just isn't fun. It's too easy, or sometimes too fustrating. I had alot of fun on act1 and some in 2 where I could use other tactics, but come 3 this is really all I can do to get by and it's getting stale..

The best way to get your dps up there ... start off with a very slow weapon (0.9 atk speed preferred), then stack haste on every slot you can get. Yes you have less int, but the weapon packs a large punch already given its attack speed, and you need haste to up your cast speed so you can kite properly with it. Glass cannon is a staple as well. If you can find a weapon with a socket, a 70 crit dmg gem goes a long way into upping your dps. Remember - crit, crit dmg, and haste are all multiplicative. Upping their values by 10% in each category will increase your total dps by 33.1%, 20% in each will get you 72% more, etc. Once you start getting high damage though, you're free to experiment. You know that room of death halfway down the bridge in siegebreaker? A small 40x40 room and an elite is always there. I can zone in and just blitz down all the minions before dying now with orb spam, zone out regen AP, then go back and kill the elite all without dying. Lots more fun than blizz kiting (it's -not- fun to crit three times and reflect 20k damage onto yourself though -_-). Fun comes with better gear.

Expanding out the dps calculation for the 1-hander since you need to factor in your off-hand as well:

Currently use: Magic wep (+15% dmg +2% knockback, I dont understand the poison one, 15% over 3 seconds, how is that good?) // Archon for burst dps in group (wtf this ability is imba, can deal like 300k + dmg) // Blizzard on right click (mad AoE slowing + great dps) / Shock with bubble rune on left click (AoE shot+good damage) / Energy armor (arcane regen+20arcane) / hydra venom for extra dps Actually I'm curious what the best L50->60 abilties are or do people just get ran through hell then farm the first quest in A4 until 60?

Anyway I got stuck hard on Belial today, such an aggrivating fight. I'm at 37k dps with 22k life, arcane orb/venom hydra build and I can't get past phase 3 because of my latency to the US server. I did get him down to 10% once. Phases 1 and 2 are a joke but I'll die when I'm FAR outside the range of a green circle when it lands. I'll take some screenshots next time it happens. I assume it would just get harder with more people in the party so it's just gonna be one hell of a grind to kill him.

His double smash, after left right combo hits everything in his front, also his arm hits you during his breath from left to right when you stand on the bottom. Don't know if this is helping you, i can imagine how frustrating phase3 might be with high latency ![]()

Phase 1 and 2 were a breeze but I'd keep dying randomly to phase 3. Then someone posted his smash 'pattern' here and I was able to kill him np. I made a video, perhaps you can copy my movements in phase 3.

Will probably get all classes to 60 or maybe kill Diablo on another class before inferno nerfs come. My monk is almost in Hell now, I assume you play in EU? If so, feel free to add me - Yoda#2130. I like playing co-op, but it's depressing how badly geared the people in public games are....
