the phylosophy of this build is based on the glass canon quote : I don't intend to get touched !
In this build everything is geared toward enhancing offense, even your defensive spells are offensive in a way. And the spells used allow you to rely on micro for defence and thus allow you to use more offense oriented gear.
Magic Missil "Charge Blast" => 141% w. damage OR Electrocute "?"
Arcan Orb "Obliteration" => 221% w. damage
Magic Weapon "Force weapon" => +15% damage
Familiar "Sparkflint" => +12% damage + a magic missil that do 10 % of your original damage
Slow Time "Time warp" => +20% damage for enemy inside the bubble
Mirror Image "Miror Mimic" => 3 replica that launch true spells that do 10 % of your original damage
Evocation => (-15% cooldown for your defensive spells)
Glass Canon => +15% damage (-10% armor and res.)
Astral Presence (+20 mana) OR Arcane Dynamo (+75% damage under heavy conditions)
You can see the combination will boost your dps a LOT ! But it also allow to strike from very far and to micro easily
Slow time is very usefull to defend against both ranged and melee while Mirror is very useful when cornered or against bosses.
Against a big pack I launch my orbs then launch slow time and retreat to the edge of the bubble, then i strike with all i got. If they get to close I launch my doubles and i am free to run or strike depending of the situation.
As my resistance is quite low, I have to micro well wich make the build very fun to play. The biggest treat is charging enemies that forced me to get a bit of life ( I was one shoted :D but 2 shot seem to be enough to not die too much ).
I need to level a bit to try arcane dynamo but it seem promising with this build but it might work better with electrocute ... i'll see
(if you hit multiple ennemies with one spell do you get 3 chances of flashes of insight ? what is the "chance" to get a flash ?)
Some of you guys look like you use a skill then swap it out? Is there a quick way to lets say be able to cast like magic weapon and then swap and put in another spell fast?
Right now I have been using disintegrate and electrocute as primary dmg dealers and use force push and frost nova. Then I have frost armor and magic weapon.
I've attemped Diablo Inferno some 20-30ish trys now, you got some additional tips for p2 ? As in certain routes that may be preferable to kite him. Gotta admit i've run into some problems in p2 where he just blinks onto me and in the worst case i get the DoT and if there arent some health orbs around even skin + potion wont save me.
Don't LoS him and he'll teleport around much less. Keep him on your screen and kite in the open (i.e., not around those holes in the ground).
Thanks
Gosh it was such a tense situation in the later parts of p2, and especially p3 (which is kind easy).
Got kicked from the server in an earlier try around 10% p2... Man i'm glad its done :D

so i did a lot of Warden/Butcher and Kulle runs, traded in the AH and improved my EQ quite a bit^^
Self plug once again, maybe this'll help!
Hey, your stats are very similar to mine. I had a question - did you solo through Act 2 to Belial or did you exploit the hell->inferno glitch to get to him?
I'm typically Ok in act 2 solo, but rare packs can be extremely difficult. My stats are almost indentical, but I have a little more resist.
Interesting that you don't use a signature spell too.

I solo'd but I had to remake levels a lot as well as occasionally do the whole pull mobs to the side and suicide to get past them. It took a while.

I've noticed that the +damage from Rubies is so insignificant on a 2-H that I'm considering switching to Emeralds.
Rubies are only good before Level 60 items. Or before Inferno lol.
Emeralds are only good if you have high enough critical chance %.
Personally I would put Amethyst instead for Life on hit.
Life on hit isn't great for wizards, and can be downright terrible depending on your build. As long as you have a somewhat decent crit chance emeralds are the way to go.

i went through act2 solo without companion and my stat were way lower than what he has in the video (was around 15k HP bc of the nerf). My best advice is be active with your kiting. Treat it like sc2 master league splitting marines vs baneling... Seeker + venom(arcane dynamo buff) + blizzard kill everything until beliah and everytime you run out of space just pop diamond skin and turn around. There are few special cases like invul minions that you should try to dodge but the rest are pretty damn easy if you kite stuff properly.

Hmm. I'm pretty good at kiting things and use seeker / hydra as well. Seems like any ranged would 1 shot you with 15k HP. I get 1 shot often with 32k hp..

most range attack are dodge able in act2... melee is impossible to dodge due to sever delay/mechanic but range are majority dodgeable. I went through the game slowly without power leveling so i understand 90% of how mobs attack works and you should too if you are playing a range class. The only range attack i fail to dodge is some of the charge-based that you could find in act3, they cast it off screen so the moment you see them charge into you you are already dead.
