guys, for you who are interested in cm/ww build you should read the following post on battle.net forums regarding aps and cc relation to energy twister.
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/6794871641
Basically energy twister ticks have direct relationship to your attacks per second, there is a complete list of aps per tick in there, and there are certain breakpoints where there is a jump in ticks which translates to more loh return, more cm procs and more apoc return.
So if you want to roll just on 2 apoc sources you should be going with 2.74 aps and around 50%cc. It really starts shining when you get there.

Ive bought pleanty of weapons for friends that are 1h w/ 800-900 dps + crit dmg + life steal...just doesn't have a socket....You won't be wrecking things with like 150k+ dps...but you most certaintly can afford a decent weap w/ life steal for under 1m...

okay, thanks for the advice of buying a weapon, better gear, etc. i'll take that into consideration.
now, does anyone want to answer the question i asked: is magic weapon/blood magic effective with an archon build? with the new patch supposedly fixing blood magic for archon, the d3 forums say its the "new thing" and there is a lot of good press for it. i have tried it out and am still having issues with reflect damage mobs. 1.5 life steal (nerfed in inferno) just doesnt seem all that much.

I've been messing with archon a bit and at 125k dps buffed with about 800 LoH and the 1.5 lifesteal from the rune I can usually kill the reflect damage elites before they kill me on MP 1. Without the lifesteal I die too quickly, so it does help, but if you don't have some other source of lifegain I don't think it is sufficient.
Even then, sometimes I'll have to kill one of them, run in grab he health globe, then resume killing the rest.

Blood magic isn't enough by itself of you want to be dealing with MP3/4+. You want near 3LS and at least 100k dps for that. If you already have, say, 1-2LS on a weap, then by all means use blood magic to get up to around 3LS. With ~2.5 it's do-able, but with only 1.5LS on MP3/4+ an around 100k+ dps it won't be enough to crush reflect packs, nor facetank phasebeast elite packs.
On MP1 or something it may be effective to use blood magic alone, or less than 1.5-2LS overall. If your question is simple whether or not blood magic was patched to work with archon, the simple answer is yes. It's posted in the patch notes which you should check out anyway for other update info

I use blood magic with 115k dps 40k hp and 650 all res and I can very handily farm a4 / a5 with that. I also have a litany and a wailing host, I suppose those help a little, and my dodge is around 25% because dex is my favorite "redundant" stat.
I only die to reflect if the elite type is hard and I am lazy. If I'm actually paying attention things need to get really sticky, like jailed on top of something nasty surrounded by more bad stuff.
No life steal on my gigantic ass 1370 dps fat crit damage Skorn with 500 int and 250 dex that I got for a hilarious 35 million.
If you're relatively broke, getting a Skorn with high damage int + dex and using blood magic is incredibly cost effective.

Hey guys pretty new to the diablo 3 world(although I bought when it came out error 37)... I have been playing for fun kinda messing around not really reading forums on the best build and equipment. Just found an item and ones similar sell for about 125mil. I would rather not waste it.
Let me know what I should improve on. I plan on keep the spells I have now. Still playing for fun. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/IcedTea-1393/hero/1220430
And maybe not just like buy better boots but if you could recommend something that would be great! Thank you!

Your source is the easiest thing to upgrade. You can find ones with similar stats, but WAY better base damage. You could easily increase your survivability by looking for a chest with vitality on it in addition to all resists, or you could bump your damage a lot by getting tal rasha's chest. Your belt is also missing vitality, which could help your survivability.
If it was me, I would sell the depth diggers for 100 million or whatever they are worth and use the money to upgrade everything else, but that is obviously up to you.
Good luck!

Hope not. x_X get crit chance / crit dmg rings. they are cheap. will up your dps a lot.... you have a lot of int. much more than me and i handle diablo fine.

Rings, CC goes up to 6% now on rings. You can also add in some with damage and keep the intel up.

Easy, a triumvirate. Going to give you basically a pure 20% damage increase or similar since they way it works, very well with your current weapon and get it with ap on crit ofc, min damage more important than max damage on it. Secondly as you run cc/cm I'd get blackthorne pants and a stormcrow as they both have loh, you'll gain 900 loh just like that and stormcrow gives 8% dmg increase in the same way as triumvirate. After that, you should get rings as person above said, very easy and cheap to get better ones, or one while you get hellfire ring.

my profil
after the last patch, i was unhappy, my DPS wwas bad, and my tornado/perma freeze build dont worked anymore.
weeks later, it all change with 3 lucky drop. first : amu : 21-54 dmg, 7.5% cc 269 Int + 9K Dps. second ; triumvirate : +11K Dps (it was a surprise, since my old source got better damage and critique) third ; tyrael might + 10K dps.
and i buy a stormcrow, because it was really cheap.
i'm now a 89 K dps buffed, running archonte build.
I cant find good boots with all i need (Mouvement + pickup radius + vitality + int) I got other boot with high Int, but without movement speed, it's unusable. I also change my weapons for a lower DPS one, but with 2.9 lifesteal to kill reflect dmg elite, now i cant find a better one with 2.9 (at least) lifesteal.
I really need more Health too. but I can now run in Higher MP within a group, or rushing MP0 to xp/loot very fast.
on this subject, i got a question, do you find more Leg on higher MP level ? I usually make 1 or 2 leg in a full act 3 run in MP0 (starting at the first quest, to kill azmodan, clearing everything) (yesterday i got 5 in one game), but i almost never find Leg in higher MP (4/5 for farming key)

Not so sure about the other two recommendations. Blackthorne pants are pretty expensive and would decrease my armor, vit for a slight increase in vit and 400 loh. Is that worth 10kk+? Stormcrow seems to be the same - will surely get some dmg, but loosing AR. Are you sure that this is the way too go?
