I'm going to try switching to a 1-hand with off-hand, what damage should I be looking for on the off-hand source? I currently have a 2-hand 1200 raw dps with 75 int/198 vit right now, what dps on the 1-hand and source should I get to be better than that? and looking for off-hands on the AH is messy. I don't know how it's sorted. | ||

Demi Lich Magic Source +(28-110)–(29-405) Damage Item Level: 62 http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/orb/#type=magic The highest roll possible for an offhand is +110-405dmg so try to get as close to that as possible. This dmg scales with a fast weapon so your DPS may be inflated if you are running a build limited by AP. | ||

I don't know how it's sorted. If it doesn't have crit, dump it. For your 1 hand look for socket int or int crit damage even if you don't have a lot of crit. Crit on your offhand is pretty much irreplaceable. | ||

It's almost impossible to get much higher DPS without getting crit/crit damage or getting way more attack speed than you need. So if you're not going crit, stick with the 2hander. | ||

I feel like if i go critical build, I need a much higher chance rate to make it worth the switch. | ||

Probably not when you already have a good 2 hander and don't want crit To get something better I imagine you'll have to spend 5-10mil. Basically the only reason to go 1h+OH is for stats and your 2 hander already has decent stats. | ||

Look at the +damage of your OH. Add the minimum to the maximum then divide by 2, then multiply that number by the attack speed on your 1H weapon. Add this number to your dps on your MH and that'll be your final dps number when compared to a 2H. This does not take into account any of the other stats, nor does it take into account the huge loss of damage that Arcane Orbs will do when switching to a 1H/OH due to the vastly faster attack speed. Just keep these facts in mind. ps i'm poor taking donations on US server  | ||
