Pretty much every upgrade with 2 of (dex, vit, all resist) are very cheap <10k or <50k depending on the gear. So to get more dex I don't think it'll be too costly. You really gotta decide where to go with this though. Crit chance could up your DPS by a lot but you only have 8%, and it doesn't look like you're getting Natalya's set (2 pieces = 7% crit chance). B/c you like using a 2 hand bow (so do I), you could forego all IAS upgrades aside from your quiver as the net gain is very nominal. Instead, work on your crit chance and dmg. Alright will do. Picked up a 1217.5 damage 2h xbow for cheap and also had butcher drop a nice Inna's Glory (pants that gave me 74 dex. 136 vit, AtkSpd 6%, Crit Chance 1, Movespeed 6%), and also dropped the quiver and decided to go for a nice 5 crit chance one with 8 discipline, 1.1 hatred regen, decent dex and vit...) I think helmets also give crit chance? Ill aim for a socketed one that does and dump a magic find in it Thanks. Also, it was never my intention to focus on a magic find gear, but it was nice having it while running A2 goblins and when Whimsyshire was glitchable with the kitty. The MF is serving me really nicely as even before a 5 stack Neph I easily get 1-2 rares off elites.

Speaking of gear, what stats should you aim for? Obivously dex, vit and all resist, but after the patch I've heard some talk that crit chance and crit damage is good, so should you focus on that instead of attack speed? Thanks in advance ![]()

Thanks in advance ![]() Ideally you want a good balance of everything - dex + crit chance + crit damage + attack speed, and just enough vit/resist to not get one shot. If you had to choose to focus on one thing, that would depend on your play style, skills used, and gear. It's hard to say without giving us more info.

Thanks in advance ![]() Crit chance and crit damage was never bad. Its just that increase attack speed gear was so OP everyone was running for it lol. Any defensive stats on DH is usually a joke - you want enough to survive more than 1 hit, hopefully more than 2 hits too from any mob/boss. (I say this because even with top notch all resists, armor, high vitality, DHs are at most reinforced glass. We still fucking die easily. You wanna tank? Go roll a monk. Theres a tank build for DH but as nice as it is, its really expensive to build) Obviously this requirement is insanely low on Act I, which is where you'll be spending time for a while. Ill give it to you easy - aim for 30k health if you want to neglect all resist, decent quivers with discipline on it, an at least 1k DPS flat 2 hand bow or equivalent price 2h xbow (have higher DPS but low attack speed, so its cheaper here in Asia for almost 100-200 DPS difference, not sure about US). 30k Health is to survive the chain attack from Butcher, and every other mob only hits for 10k tops, so you can survive a couple hits from mobs easily. This should be insanely easy to aim for without spending too much money. Flat 1k dps bows are only 100k or even less here in Asia, so you can probably aim higher (below 1100 as that when prices starts to jump), ofc, if you want you can always get a socketed one and dump a really nice gem in it (at least 60% crit damage gem) If you are rich obviously you dont need to read this. Im not familiar with the korean build so - Heres my current build http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#fPXYlV!aYe!bYZZbb Primary and secondary is more of a self choice - Some feel evasive-covering gives is a decent crowd control DPS and also a utility/escape rolled into one already, so sometimes I see more single target focused secondary (right mouse button), but then its up to you. You can go with what I have, or go Hunger-Devour and any AoE hatred spender - Spike Traps + Scatter is really fun if you know how to abuse terrain, Cluster Bomb is only fun after some practice, and is really good if you have a tank agroing the monster to allow you more range control to maximise the damage. Ive seen people go dual chakrams or multishot (Fire At Will for max AoE, or supression + evasive for more ultility) too so just test around for something that fits. Regarding my utility skills - Smoke Screen and caltrops are no brainers here. If you arent using these then ....you must be special. Preparation tagged with Battle Scars is due to it being the only foolproof heal demon hunters have, and since its a % heal, the more HP you have the better this is. Itll also help with those pesky Reflect Damage bosses, but I see people going for backup plan when they have a high Disc pool (45-50+) too. The Rain of Vengeance-Stampede is really just personal taste. Sometimes you need to force mobs back, and since most of A1 is a bunch of dungeons, these work wonders. It costs nothing and lasts ten seconds, making it rather spammable when you need it to be. Regarding where to farm in A1 inferno, http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=347098 Read the OP. That run he has is really nice. My current run is from his post - 1. Start Quest 9-2, begin at town, run out top left gate of town and CLEAR ENTIRE AREA. this place has insane amounts of bosses, and if the den spawns, run in. 2. Finishing the run will end you at Cemetery of the Forsaken - there is a yellow elite somewhere around the waypoint, and also check the entrance (run further in a bit if you want but dont go too far, as EnDeR_ has said, its a waste of time) of each Crypt for an elite or two. If you find Developement Hell, go in for fun if you want but there are no elites in there. 3. The Festering Woods. Clear entire area - rather small and packed with elites. 4. Highlands Crossing waypoint, cross the bridge Cave of the Moon Clan for elites + resplendant Chest 5. Northern Highlands Waypoint - Head Northwest for the Watchtower, resplendant + some elites (sometimes no elites, but its a short dungeon and the chest is worth it) 6. Leorics Manor - Head out the other way and out the door, there will be one elite out in the courtyard. 7. Run the entire Halls of Agony, Warden + Butcher (some 10-20 elites easily here) Whole run doesnt take long once you are good at it, and with friends its rather fun. You can only do essentials as posted by EnDER for a faster run too. Ofc, figure out what items are good for selling on AH so you can do this faster (each pointer above will probably force you to go home and clean out bag at least once), junk lvl60 are salvaged, and sell the rest to NPC.

my current plan at 60 is to put together a GF set and rely on NV 5 stack for rare drops and farming A1 and possibly A2 if I build up good enough gear for that. I'm looking for some advice on Lvl 60 gearing and elite killing though. What tends to be the best low cost weapon solution for a fresh Lvl 60 DH? 2H bow, 2H Xbow, dual 1H Xbow? For leveling, I've been using dual 1H Xbow just because it's funner. regarding skill build, I've tried a variety of things while leveling and am currently using Elemental Arrows (Frost Arrow) and Hungering Arrow (Spray for Teeth) as my damage skills. I've tried Cluster Bombs, Chakram runes (razor, double), Lightning Ball, Scatter Mines, Evasive Fire (3 shot one), Rapid Fire, and Frost Arrow has been the most consistent performer for me. anyways, I'm open to advice and plan on budgeting a few million to gear up at 60.

Cluster Arrow//Cluster Bomb can do ridiculous amounts of damage to a single target but you have to measure distance, whereas Impale can lock on the target. The +% elemental dmg should affect your overall damage since otherwise the affix would be terrible. Posts from people who have the items say that's how it works, but I haven't found actual concrete proof anywhere. It'll be impossible to find one skill to replace NT since NT was so damn good at everything. I would say splitting the functionalities of the old NT with two skills: a low cost AOE skill and a high damage single target skill, would be the most efficient.

i've got 37,620 HP (cant see in the screenshot) i've got 3 set natalya's (ring, cloak, boots) with a black bone arrows legendary quiver that gives 7.5% crit chance. i've come to the point where crit chance/dmg can be increased mainly thru my one availble ring slot (which right now only offers 31% crit dmg) and my amulet (7% atk speed, 80 dex, 100 vit, 50 all resist, 250 armor) my bow right now has about 100 vit which contributes to my high HP. Given my stats, I don't know what would be the best thing to replace - i'm at like 1.5 mill right now so im pretty poor so anything I sell (if its worth a lot) will be a pretty big transition. Basically, I don't know how much all resist/armor/HP is the best combo, b/c if I'm going to drop something, it'll decrease 1 or more of those stats. Img here: + Show Spoiler +

I have no problem kill anything in ACT1 except the butcher, can't kill him fast enough before rage timer. is there anyway i can kill him with current gear but different skill setting? or do i need get more dps? The only thing that you should get bit by the butcher is his aoe rake skill. You don't need that much vit/resist, you can easily swap out enough to just survive the rake and for some more dps. I take it you don't want to swap skills to lose NV.

Ya, I would like to keep NV, but if there's another set skill I can use to farm and kill butcher, would like to try. I spent about 2m on current gear, don't have much left ![]()

Once you learn the Butchers routine, you should be able to anticipate when certain attacks come so you have time shoot in between. In addition, when moving to a new location, try to stutter-step to keep some shots going while you move.
