Mostly act 3 was fairly straightforward because you could kite forever with ice (didn't run into invul minions) in the second tower since there's no tongue lashers.
I don't know how I feel about act 3, I feel like it's not worth it. I killed 10-11 elite/champ packs, died ~5 times, and came out in the negative. I hear the drop rate for i63 is lower now too.
Farmed act 1, so many yellows (mostly shitty..), so easy. Don't even die in 2 hits.
I tried ball lightning yesterday. White mobs are still easy but uniques and bosses take forever now. Champions are still kinda ok.
I have roughly 45k dps, 300 resist all, 20k hp, 3.5k armor and 150 mf. I cleared to Cydaea, went to the battlements to get the 5th stack, killed her and Azmodan, then all the keep levels, and both Korsikk and Rakikk or whatever the hell they're called. I must've killed around 20+ elite/champ packs and they mostly dropped level 50ish trash rares. I used to get at least 1-2 things I could sell on the AH, even the cheap 50k stuff, every Cydaea/Azmo run pre-patch. I killed an extra 15 elite/champ packs after my run yesterday with 5 stacks of valor. I only got 2 items I thought could sell on the AH, even going down to selling 30-50k garbage.
I thought when they made level 63 items available in act 1 and 2, they would've made act 3 drop more. It doesn't seem worth it.

they seem to have lowered act3 lvl 63 item drops by a lot. Someone in one of the other threads said that it went from 20% to 8% drop rate
had 21m in bank now and looking to regear every single damn part, heres my plan.Although IAS has been nerfed, i gonna still buy IAS and pump it to maximum. The following gears which i gonna pump IAS/DEX/crit dmg/crit chance[mixture any of those] to are:
bow [either 1 hand bow or 2h Xbow] ring amulet boots [future fix] Lacuni prowlers quiver Andariel visage gloves
then the following gears to get high armor + vitality to prevent getting 1 shot chest 3 sock pants 2 sock belt shoulder
not sure whether its worth investing, let me know what do u think.

Try Cluster Arrow - Cluster Bomb, not as spammable but if one bomb crits, all of them do, so with some crit management (saving high sharpshooter charge for it) you can potentially crit for like 800k damage to a single monster
Probably getting nerfed like everything else our class has ever had

You do bring up a good point though, but I believe your math is wrong. The chance you won't crit should be multiplied by the initial one in each equation because you only do 100% damage if you don't crit. Not the 100% damage plus the multiplied crit damage.
.7 + 0.3*4 = 1.9 Compare this to .615 + (0.3+0.085)*3.3 = 1.8855
the + 1 accounts for the fact that you must do at least 100% damage, otherwise your crit modifier would decrease your base dps. basically (1 + cc*cd) * dps gives you the expected value for your dps after accounting for crit. you can verify this with the many dps calculators out there.
Perfect gear would give you a crit chance of 47% crit if you used two hand crossbows (assuming the numbers somebody listed on previous page are correct). If you used a quiver instead you could get up to 55.5% crit chance. Anybody know how much crit damage is possible?
"perfect" gear gives more than 47%. 6% helm + 6% bracer + 4.5%*2 ring + 8.5% amulet + 10% glove + (7% natalya set bonus) + 1% beckon sail (assuming you don't use natalya's shadow for chest) gives you at least 47.5 from gear alone (there might be more from legendaries but i'm not sure) but attaining this is highly impractical and is usually at the expense of a lot dex + ias + cd. with passive you get 57.5%. as for perfect crit, it's some really high number. not really worth talking about tbh since that would require like 2 radiant stars.
At "perfect" gear levels losing an emerald's worth of crit damage to gain 8.5 crit chance isn't worthwhile. 100% crit damage is just too good. You can also theoretically get more than this because weapons can roll crit damage in addition to having a socket.
theoretically maybe, but a couple things makes this impractical
getting bows with default cd modifer + socket comes at the expense of dps. this is true for any modifier really. I have actually tested this briefly with dps calculators and a normal 2 hander with only +% damage gave me the almost same dps as a 2 hander with 90% + 70% cd from socket for the same buyout. the ah market is surprisingly accurate with weapon pricing.
also, the effectiveness of increasing cc or cd depends entirely on the values you currently have. Many people stack cd and neglect cc because the values are larger. sometimes a upgrade from 6% to 6.5% on that amulet can make a lot more difference than a 10% upgrade in crit damage.
to put this in perspective, consider the case of 5% cc, 200% cd. increase cc by 8.5% with quiver gives: 1 + 0.135*2 = 1.27 increase cd by 200% with 2nd bow with 100% cd modifier + 100% cd from radiant star = 1 + 0.05*4 = 1.2
i can get a 8.5% quiver for less than 100k while the 2nd option is expensive as fuck considering the radiant star and still does less damage.
also hbows have a lower base dps than bows/xbows so they are at a natural disadvantage meaning their critical modifier needs to be higher just to have the same dps output as their bow/xbow counterparts.
another minor detail is that quivers can go above 15% ias. i run a black bone with 17% and dead man legacies go up to 20%.
basically out of all the bow options available, i don't find dual wielding practical if you're only using it to stack crit damage. using it for +max discipline or extra LoH on the other hand might be viable.
The whole point of dual wielding is that it is only better at "perfect" gear levels. I have never suggested you try to do this as you're entering inferno. If there are no ladder resets like blizzard is talking about then this gear will eventually be attainable though.
so a friend linked me this video couple days ago, pre 1.03 patch of this korean DH on the asia server not using nether at all. He does azmo runs in ~15 mins, which is about same as me and I have 2x his dps. This build should still be viable now. (he didnt have sick gear/dps - only 56k dps with sharpshooter)

It looks like 76k dps in the video, hard to tell from the quality and that was right after entering the game so ss wouldn't have been charged, their evasive fire shots are doing 30-70k non-crit. Still, a very interesting build.
Edit - Andy's visage and look how fast they walk/run just normally that character has very good gear.

I will test the build later, but I think it's better to run a different passive instead of grenadier. His main damage comes from spike traps and fan of knives and cluster seems replaceable actually.. I think the build works only if you have sufficient DPS to burst everything down with spike traps + fan of knives with a couple of evasive hits.
I wonder how useful fan of knives is for post-1.03 cydaea since the spiders run in random directions and try to surround you.

you need either grenadier or vengeance to get off the spike trap + fan + 2 cluster combo off. I think he went for grenadier so that if he dies, he does massive damage and finishes off the mob pack, but I think vengeance is superior - especially post patch where you don't want to die anyway cause of repair costs.
