I'm surprised they nerfed Jagged Spikes Caltrops when it wasn't even wide spread. How it works is that, Jagged Spikes ticks every half second. It has a 67% on hit multiplier, meaning it will proc .67 * your crit chance and .67 * your life on hit PER TICK PER TARGET. Now, that isn't too bad with one trap, but you can stack several Caltrops on top of each other. Factor all that in with passives that increases duration of Caltrops, 20% increase damage reduction from mobs on Caltrops, and plus 1 discipline per critical hit... you can see where this is going.

Kind of sucks how DH went from being the best class in the game to bottom tier in one patch, I really think they overdid it on this one.
Thankfully I never had much IAS gear and a weapon without IAS so my dps only dropped from 52k to 46k (without sharpshooter). In general due to the NT nerfs, elite packs take about twice as long to kill, bosses about 3 times as long to kill. Siegebreaker is undoable with my current health pool (24k hp) and resists (around 50 to all). Mainly because with the 3 min enrage you can't regen health fast enough and do not have enough smoke screen to kill him in time. reflects damage mobs are still doable however ( i have a 650 life on hit weapon and some hp regen so i can usually take them out within 5-6 smoke screens if I get lucky with crits).
I might still keep NT on though, even though the damage sucks, its ability to travel through endless amounts of targets is incredibly valuable (especially with invulnerable minion packs where the main guy hides behind his minions).
Either way, I think resists and vitality is going to be mandatory if a DH wants to effectively farm without absurdly powerful gear since you can't kill things before they reach you any more.

Welp, can't even kill Cydea anymore between the IAS nerfs and NT nerf.
Trying to decide what I want to do gear and build setup wise now. Ball lightning feels like it takes too long to kill elite packs.

Why not use impale for what it was designed for (single target); I am gonna wait and see what i can figure out tomorrow but probably gonna ve to invest in some different gear

For the people that have high passive MF, what does your DPS/Other stats looking like? I'm having trouble figuring out what to upgrade =[

I'm loling at you guys saying that DH became bottom tier. Just because it required you to think of a different build doesnt mean the class is bottom tier. I'm still at 80k dps and dropped SS entirely, picked up cull the weak and used frost arrows instead of NT. My crits still hit for the same and frost arrows + cull the weak does so much D.

The attack speed change isn't the problem though. The nerf to tentacles effectively halved or thirded damage versus most mobs in the game and crippled us even further versus extremely large enemies. People may be over reacting with the whole worst dps now, but compared to what demon hunters were doing pre-patch they're looking pretty pathetic. That is more a testament to how overpowered tentacles was though.

Cydaea is problematic cause they changed the spider AI to walk randomly instead of chasing you so you actually have to kill them now. I find evasive to be quite useful to killing the spiders cause of the spread and instant damage. I used cluster arrow in my first run and it was ok, but I lacked a good skill to kill Azmodan with so I had to actually run around dodging the pools.
I have about 100-200 resists, 30k hp. I think I'm looking to get more all resist equip while maintaining my current stats or get better rings.

For those who wants an alternative to NT try this:
Cluster Arrow with Cluster bomb
50 hatred so you can only spam it twice
Unleash 6 mini bombs that does 230% damage each, + the main bomb that ticks 2 to 3 times 200% damages.
Total up to 1780% damage
Range is pretty small compared to Nether tentacle and is not as much spammable but at 100% SS, it does some nasty damages, even more than pre-nerf Tentacles i think
Grenadier passive to reduce cluster to 40 hatred instead of 50 doesn't seems worthy for this skill, it allows you to spam 3 times instead of 2 but you have to either drop sharpshooter or steady aim/archery
Ball lightning vs Cluster arrow on Belial : no contest, Cluster arrow does way more damage, with 98k dps unbuff i can kill him while he is doing his second left-right arm attack (even before his aoe breath), whereas with ball lightning, i kill him while he is doing his AoE pool
With your hatred pool, you can spam it twice (3 times if grenadier passive) and the delay between the 2 skills is so small that all 12+ minibombs will crit within the 1 sec sharpshooter.

Glad i decided to kill inferno diablo yesterday when i still had 120k dps now i can just quit the game because all my iAS stuff is now worth way less then what i bought it for.

Honestly hoping these nerfs force all of the flavor-of-the-month rerolls back to their mains. Pretty annoying how everyone is a DH now just because they can farm well on it -- just means more incoming nerfs for the players who actually enjoy the class.

i tried ball lightning and it wasn't looking so great with gloom. i was able to tank with NT+gloom but with the NT/ attack speed nerd, tanking with shadow power requires even better armor and my armor was mid high with 400 resist all and 30k hp.
i dont get what blizz wants me to do anymore. i cant tank or do good damage, so what the hell?
also, they didn't fix marked for death? its still being debuffed really quick or something.

Tried to regear a little from a pure glass cannon with 5k hp, but it isn't working out as I intended. I still get one hitted by everything in act 3. Although with Gloom on I can sometimes eat up to two champion hits. Stats on anyone who feels they have some survivability here?
