At over 400+ resists, about 5.6K armor (with Enchantress), and 33k HP and experience in every act on Inferno, I am pretty confident when I say that a pure-tank build is definitely possible with good enough gear, however what I have still isn't adequate for Act 2. In building up from about 100 all resists, I definitely notice an increase in my ability to tank mobs in Act 2/3 and I can even take two hits from some in Act 4. It really seems like the change between 2/3/4 are much less of a jump in damage than the change from 1 to 2. You'd still ideally want to be able to tank several hits from white mobs before you could say you can "tank" it easily (probably at least 10 or more) You would definitely have to drop more than 10 million gold (10 million might be enough for one or two pieces right now) in order to get the proper gear. In order to make it work in Act 4, I'm talking about near-perfect Armor/Vit/Resist rolls in every single slot with as much Dex as you can get. Right now, the glass cannon is just a better early-game opener for you but in a few weeks/months as better and better items flood the AH, tanking will be the way to go in the long run. | ||

If your problem is your illusion killing you wait for Flying Strike and use it + prep + ss for every illusion if you want to make sure not getting oneshot. PS: those were some "you"s :> | ||

Its crap. For damage u want something like 60+ dex 12+ as 3 crit ring For surviability u want something with stats and all resist. | ||

Don't stand still... ever. They can't outrun you with speed boots. They are bloody annoying though. I hate the fact they have no attack animation. With internet latency you can't SS in time if they jump you and your standing still. They should at least have a weapon swing. | ||

I get past the first phases easily enough, but when he starts using his "ray" at the end, I just get one shot from a screen apart. My gear is probably too weak, but I'm not sure what resist to stack to just avoid being one shot there so I can pop smoke screen and keep kiting. | ||

Any recommendations? Or is it just my gear? 26k hp, ~60 all resists edit: got him! Timed my smokescreens to after he ran into the wall, that seems to be the time where he does multichain the most often! - It's quite helpful to know for all classes I think! | ||
