MF is pretty overrated once you realize it's mechanics. I've ran with 185 mf and it really doesn't make too much of a difference. With 200 mf, a monster has a 0.1% chance to drop a rare, that increases to 0.3%. If it has a 0.001% chance to drop a legendary, it would increase to 0.003%. For bosses, nephalem valor is all you need to get the crazy drops, mf has very little effect on them. 5 stacks of valor would be better than 200 mf, and if they are stacked, the difference is still negligible. Inferno is pretty ezpz once you gear up, I have no troubles at all.Once I find a good helm/ring/belt, I'll finally be satisfied with my DH and start a wizard! ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/BLZ2w.png) why did you even bother cutting out your crit chance when its obvious you're using sharpshooter?
even with sharpshooter 100k is pretty high

I'm currently coasting through Act1 Inferno with my measly 25k dps. I'm using fire grenade and spike trap [scatter] as my primaries so my damage only comes from burst dmg. By throwing the spike traps perpendicularly to the direction you're running towards, you can ensure that the mob following you will eat all 3 traps, so I spend most of my time running, and using caltrops(torturous) to slow them down so I can throw down the STs correctly. Dodging mortars is also much easier when you don't have to stop to shoot. Threw in SS[lingering], Preparation[heal], and I rotate between the damage reducing sentry (also wearing a shield, since all I need is a good +dex% modifier) or mark of death (aoe rune). You guys should try this out if you're tired of slinging arrows! It gets really hard when I get confined in tighter dungeons where I don't have much space to dodge the mobs.
I'll report when I get into act 2 :O

It's pretty hard to take the ss seriously, he has 170% extra crit damage and 100% crit chance. Everything is stacked for bragging purposes, and we can't draw anything useful from it in regards to comparing/gearing ourselves in Inferno.
If you want to help, please post your gear and what your numbers look like when you don't feel yourself so hard.

I rerolled DH after realizing how stupid monk was in inferno and today reached diablo in inferno, with taking about one act pr day. I will probably delay him til tomorrow, but so far seems pretty reasonable to kill.
I went for mad glass cannon build and skipping vitality basicly completely. I rather rely on my ability to smokescreen anything that can kill me and use tumble/ss with the speed passive to avoid stuff. I've basicly used the same build from act 1, which is this. Obivously I die from time to time, but it's more then managable, and I can farm act 4 with 5 stack pretty easy. Only really annoying thing is reflect damage, so I usually have to corpse run a bit on that ><. Faster to kill myself than waiting for cds.
My current stats before diablo is: + Show Spoiler +

Is it possible to survive one of Diablo's melee attacks as Demon Hunter if you stack resistances and vitality? I'm currently running a glass cannon build and I think I could take him if I could only boost my survivability enough to not get one-shotted but I'd rather not spend a few million only to discover that it makes no difference.

DH kiting too strong. i'm in a4 inferno with pretty much the exact same build/similar stats except i have much lower dps. this class just doesn't give a shit about gear checks if your ability to kite/SS is good

Does your resolution change how much of the world you're able to see on your screen? I'm having problems with demons charging me from outside my screen. Does this happen to anyone else?

How is your dex so low but you're hitting 110k+ dps with sharpshooter enabled obviously?

archery gives a 50% crit damage buff for 2h crossbows

I solo'd my way into inferno act 2 and it feels like I hit a complete wall so if someone could help me refine my character it would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you have a really high crit dmg so look for items that give you +crit chance. They will increase your dps quite a bit.
I'm having a lot of trouble at A2 as well so I don't have any specific advice for you, sorry

More than your resolution, it's your aspect ratio. 1280x1024 is a weird AR of 5:4. Standard now is 16 (ex: 1920x1080) with 16:10 (1920x1200) as second.

How do you deal with Jailers? Also, why do you use frost arrow if you have caltrops for slow and multishot for AoE? (outside elemental arrow being op, differently for each rune)

The problem in my eyes is that you're investing too heavily into survivability with shadow power and 36k hp. It wont really help much in act 2 and onwards, because things just hit too damn hard. You either have to invest way more, or way less. The middleground just doesn't work at all after act 1.

what do u mean by investing less? go straight up dps?

Yes. Who cares if you have 20k hp or 35k hp, if mobs hits for 40k. You basicly need to get a bunch of resist all, armor and hp before it starts mattering, and by then you've sacrificed either 20-30k dps or have godly gear.
The thing about DH is that you can basicly avoid everything with proper cooldown usage and kiting, so you don't really need to worry about your hp, and that is what makes this class so damn strong. The built in defense mechanism is all on you as the player, rather than stuff like arcane armor absorbing 35% hp if you fuck up.
I personally prefered very high risk/very high reward style with just mad dps. If you get caught you're dead, so don't get caught.
Then again, everything I'm saying could be wrong, and other DHs might have succesfully geared up to a point where they can actually start tanking stuff.
