MF is pretty overrated once you realize it's mechanics. I've ran with 185 mf and it really doesn't make too much of a difference. With 200 mf, a monster has a 0.1% chance to drop a rare, that increases to 0.3%. If it has a 0.001% chance to drop a legendary, it would increase to 0.003%. For bosses, nephalem valor is all you need to get the crazy drops, mf has very little effect on them. 5 stacks of valor would be better than 200 mf, and if they are stacked, the difference is still negligible.
Inferno is pretty ezpz once you gear up, I have no troubles at all.Once I find a good helm/ring/belt, I'll finally be satisfied with my DH and start a wizard!

Isn't .1% -> .3% triple the chance to drop a rare (or double if 100 of that is from valor)... meaning that so long as your farming speed is >50% of what it is in just dps gear you'll farm more items?
|
Superbabosheki can you link your items? Sugo~
|
Only time I use MF is when a boss is at 1~3% and I have 5 stacks of Nephalem Valor. I swap into a full set, pop SS, and go to town.

No because the amount of blue's you get will still be similar, no matter how much or how little mf you have, elites/champs will almost always drop a similar quantity of blues. From my experience getting rares seems to depend more on neph buffs rather than mf. Aspect farming is a pretty good example of this, I've done well over 200 runs with 185 mf and very rarely found a yellow, whereas they always dropped 1-2 blues, which would have been the same with no mf.
As for legendaries, that's just based on pure luck and doubling/tripling your odds really won't help much.

Hey, buying 4 lottery tickets is WAY better than buying 1.
I personally buy zero.

Sugo~ Too lazy to SS ill estimate off the top of my head, but my only noteworthy items are ring(28% crit damage, 110 dex, 80 vit, 16% aspeed, ammy(110 dex, 15% aspeed, 40% crit damage), wep(1.25k dps, 100 vit, something else).
Everything else is just 100-200 dex items with 50-150 vit mixed in, and a few +40 - +70 all resists.

At 60 you get a buff of 15% MF when you kill an elite pack. It stacks 5 times and only wears off on logout or switching abilities. It takes care of a lot of the MF need.

I've been farming aspects for the past 3 days. Only other alternative I know is doing act 3 normally.
I picked up a 1.2k dmg 2hand int staff but gave it to my friend instead of selling. Only made a million from selling shit I got there. Anyone other farming areas?
Also thanks superbabo

What do i do against fast invulnerable mobs? (Inferno)
|
You bypass them. Invulnerable are immortal, especially horde invulnerable.. just lure them to a remote location and SS or vault the hell away

I have been farming for around a week but I'm still stuck on act 1 inferno. I just cannot do anything on act II, I get one/two shotted by everything and I find myself just not being able to advance.
Are other DH's having the same problems? Should just deal with the horrible punishment I'm going through?
What I have been trying to do is just to farm as many items as humanly possible and sell them. Sadly I find myself not being able to buy anything, stuff on the AH is just WAY too expensive.
I'm starting to go crazy ;__;

I'm in the same boat. I'm considering just skipping everything using SS and vault with Tactical Advantage and using public games or friends for the bosses. I think the only ones you need to fight is Maghda, Kulle and Belial iirc. Magdha I already did, really easy. Kulle might be difficult but I think you might be able to not get hit. Belial I have no idea.
My reasoning is that Act 3 mobs is a lot easier to deal with and no stupid invisible snakes/monkeys so it might be easier than Act 2. Might be able to farm effectively there since I find hell gives me gold and items too slow and items are too bad.

The Fallen casters in Act 3 Inferno make it pretty stressful for me. They have a huge range on their resurrection and are usually in packs of 2-3. I have to take a risk to kill them every time or I can sit there and kill the same few Fallen Grunts over and over again because I can't kill them fast enough.
I wish Frost Elemental Arrow froze things...
Champion or Elite Fallen Shaman make me want to kill myself.

Ever gotten an illusionist shielding one? FML. Luckily was just hell, and the third affix wasn't worth noting, so I just went fucking batshit with multishot until I found a good staircase where they got stuck on the corner, and danced like a motherfucker.

I notice that there are a lot of people that use devouring, but isn't cinder a little more consistent cause you know it will always do that additional 35% fire damage? Law of big numbers. Yeah devouring is inconsistent but since you spam it so much only the admittedly marginally higher DPS counts. Cinders big drawback is that it deals damage over time and in that case you´d rather take bolas.
I thought cinder deals addition 35% fire damage over time on top of the regular damage that hunger arrow already provides? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm having trouble picking between damage or consistency.

Has anyone checked to see if DOT clipping is an issue with it? The problem is, hungering is either spammy, where you shoot it till shit's dead, and DOT component is meh compared to higher damage, or it's aa hatred generator and nothing else, at which point all you care about is maxing damage on that shot you're forced to take occasionally.
I think the only two anyone cares about are shatter and devouring, depending on how they use it.
