for example, if you're using a weapon with 400-1000 fire damage, +6% lightning damage will pretty much do nothing. if the weapon is 400-1000 physical damage (as in just min-max - no element), it's a straight up 6% damage bonus. finding a black weapon is much more important for wizards more so than other classes because they happen to get a lot of gear with +% elemental damage (trimumvirate, zuni boots, tal rasha amy) it sounds silly, but it's been confirmed by blizzard and they say it's intended. personally i think it's really dumb considering elemental damage on weapons is purely cosmetic except for cold, but those roll lower damage anyways so... -.- | ||

i think im gonna find a stone with disc and hungering arrow damage to use for ubers. that should pretty much be better than any other ring when facing ubers right? | ||

First off, where should I go as gear upgrades go? I don't have issues with mp4 or lower atm but I'd like to be able to go higher without struggling. I also have close to no gold to spend on upgrades at the moment so how much should I save up before upgrading each piece? profile link With the addition of monster power, is it worth it to stack mf as much anymore or is it more efficient to just do quicker runs with gear without mf? | ||

First thing that jumped out at me was that all your gems could use an upgrade. you're only getting +100% crit dmg from gems on your 2 socket manticore currently... edit - also you should really get + move speed on something i'm sure there are many other things that could be upgraded, but i'm by no means a gear expert....that's just what jumped out at me. | ||

Thanks! Get a DML quiver. You're losing out on 5% attack speed and 1-2% crit chance for absolutely no reason. Then get a vile ward or yellow shoulders with dex/vitality and probably a better belt. | ||
