Doesnt seem to show too much of a change. because you lose raw dps from the weapon and dex too, and gain in critical hit, so it might net be worth the cash. I would get better shoulders, gogo vile wards.Seems like the weakest piece currently. Kinda feel your primary stat is a little on the low side. Plus I also like to be at about 1.7 for attack speed, might be worth it to get a single socket high dps xbow, with crit, gem it(no idea about the prices on these though). then maybe use the crit damage gained from the xbow to upgrade other areas. | ||

First upgrades would be shoulders (I highly advise AGAINST vile wards however, you will get better rares cheaper) and replace your legacy andys and innas stuff. Your gloves could use an upgrade as well. Don't be tempted to buy legendaries just cuz they are shiny and orange. | ||

You can always replace helm with a mempo, and go for pick up radius on the bracer. You will lose some dps but become a lot tankier. Most of your gear is worth north of 30m already... no point in upgrades until you have a much higher budget. 30k hp is fine, but most DH i know with that much HP has close to 400 AR... It all depends on which MP you play on. I'm not sure why you are not using Archery, it's such a good dmg boost. | ||

However the absolute best manticores will be better than the absolute best rares. Unless you are going for a 1300 dps double soc 170 dex manticore, get a rare instead. | ||

i am close to 400 hours on my DH, and i have never found something really useful i could use myself. natalya's set is the only set that didn't drop at all so far, the only thing that was remotely useful for me were some dex vile wards but at that point i had already better ones… that said, i didn't have bad luck with drops, i can't complain. but everyday i start farming, i wish an upgrade for my DH drops. for a long time, the RNG tried to say "just play a barb" and threw tons of immortal king stuff at me (2x the weapon and chest, gloves, helm and 5x the belt) along with a fantastic rare belt which is my highest sell to date, str+ar lacunis, echoing fury, skorn(s) etc. always had some WD and WIZ stuff drop inbetween, a tal rasha chest, amulet and belt here, zunimassa's stuff there, a low int witching hour, triumvirate(s), oculus, chantando, ice climbers as well as firewalkers with int and lots of other stuff i sold… now for a few days, the luck has swung to monk gear: 3 or 4 legendary fist weapons and i have found every piece of the inna's set… of course except for the part that would be useful for a DH (inna's temperance). alright, i got the message, instead of selling everything i decided to roll a monk and actually use some of the stuff i found myself. yesterday, my monk reached lvl 60, and i started progressing through act 1 inferno on MP1 when suddenly – after another elite pack bites the dust a glowing beam of light appeared. it's the first legendary my monk has found: + Show Spoiler + ![]() really, RNG? after all this time my DH tried to find something useful you decide that the first legendary my stupid monk should find is a nice DML? now i'm unsure if i should keep it or not, it's mostly a question of do i want to use ball lightning or multishot, here's my current DML: + Show Spoiler + ![]() what's your track record? did anyone have luck finding something he could equip no questions asked? | ||

Notable times were me finding a manti (1.04),to upgrade from a broken bow,a dml to replace a rare quiver when I was saving up to buy one, then a dual socket anti from the act 3 keywarden, when I was again looking to buy one. One of the things that is a little frustrating, is a feeling of aimlessness. For example, I know I needed to get a dead mans, but where ..how? I was like...well I just have to run alkaizers, and save money/sell stuff and buy one(I got lucky and during the fourth run, a random scorpion dropped it but..yeah). It would be kinda cool to know that a certain area/person had a small chance of dropping it, so you could feel as though you ere trying for something. This sort of goes against the pure randomness that the game is supposed to be but, this is kinda what I've been feeling everytime I want to get a certain item, but have no other option but to blindly alkaizers/vota etc. | ||

My experience form WoW PvP leads me to believe that stats such as max discipline and hatred regeneration will be more desired. Not only resources will be key, but also survivability will be increasingly desired for DHs. This will result in the average DPS decreasing. Items that will grow in worth will be: Natalya's Sight with cc and high fear chance, Natalya's Embrace with max discipline, DML with max discipline as well as Calamity (due max discipline, mark of death and hatred regeneration). Might be wrong, but I will probably buy some of the above in anticipation of PvP launch. | ||

What about life regeneration? Without health globes it would be a really good attribute when kiting but it looks like the arenas will actually drop random globes now and then. Will still probably be good, depending on what damage mitigation Blizzard will go for. Like on chest armor 200 vit feels way better than 500 life regen but that's because we're used to taking much damage and sometimes 1 hit killed (I'm looking at you dark Maghda >_>). | ||

I think low hatred spenders combined with impale to spike down targets is going to be useful for a DH. My guess would be... Hungering Arrow/Bola shot. HA is good for the homing, Bola has the better burst & stun depending on team combo. Problem with bola is it can be planned for with immunity abilities and mitigated that way. Impale for spike damage. Spike trap could also be spike damage. SS - Immunity is going to be really important probably, I wouldn't expect Gloom to be enough to keep a DH alive in PvP. Vault - Movement is key. Possibly this could be sacrificed for another disc skill. Prep - See above 2. So what's the last slot? That's where I think things will differ between DH's. Anything from Caltrops to Spike trap to ball lightning to entangling shot. Chances are you'll see ball lightning the most, but I think there's a good case for spike trap to combo with impale/other skills for burst damage and space control. For passives you'll probably see something like Brooding, Perfectionist, Tactical Advantage. I bet for knockback & the like you'll have diminishing returns & immunity to prevent perma knockback. PvP for DH is going to be weird gear wise because atk speed is going to be a lot more important since it lowers your animation times and allows for more mobility. As said above I think +disc will be really important for SS spamming. Basically I expect DHs to PvP kind of like they did at the start of Inferno (spam ss to stay alive). | ||
