If one rune gives a ranged attack more damage, but another one gives it a snare, would you choose damage 100% of the time?

Completed the beta just now with a demon hunter.
Was fun, but i can't say i'm hooked and now will do the same with a different class....
Not sure yet if i'll buy this game tbh... will wait and see if they don't mess up hardcore mode i guess.

I played it with a Witch Doctor and with a Monk.
I never understood if the Monk really used swords I put in his hands or not. The fighting animation gave no clue to it as far as I could see...
Same thing with witch doctor, I walked around with a buckler but had no idea if It was to any use.
Nothing really struck me as that innovative about the game... What do you guys feel is greeat about it? For me it feels no better then diablo 2 so far just exciting with a new storyline and new heroes

The open beta is about to end after some hours and I'm not even done with one class . Just as expected from a crappy internet and unsupported video card . I'll still buy D3 though, together with a new computer but I'd still lag and get dropped with my slow internet connection WHILE PLAYING SINGLE PLAYER.

So why would you actually buy a game you can't properly play? It's like you're rewarding them for their online only DRM when you're directly being punished by it.

Probably because he cares about the game and doesn't see the always-online thing as restrictive, but rather, his own internet provider being the one to blame.

@rose_pedal: What is your OS? if you are on XP with service pack 2, you might not be able to install.
EDIT: I use a 64bit OS windows 7 home Same, it doesn't work for us. Apparently some sort of recently made service program installed by diablo 3 called "agent" isn't compatible with windows 7 x64. So when it launchers the updater thing, it gets stuck. Kinda sad on their part. Beta is supposed to be for things like stress tests and balance. Compatibility issues should have been solved a while ago. That's sad I hope the official game isnt like this

?
i have no problem on windows 7 x64

Suddenly can't start a game - either error 3004 or 3006 :/

Hmm Monk seems pretty good at low lvl. Blazed through beta without ever being in trouble. Never died, just spam clicked through the mobs without breaks. Playing Demon Hunter now. Seems much slower at lvling.

Huge lag at times when playing, but when the lag was gone, good game.

Got the same problem - however, joining a public game works fine. Wonder if it's intentional, to try and force people into public games..

What is error 3004, exactly?

For the people that get the error 3X messages, double check your region haven't reset to Europe. My client have reset to Europe automatically a couple of times. It took me about half an hour to realize it had done so since I had just had a short break between playing I didn't consider this to be an option.

Levelling my barb, 2nd last of all 5 characters to max on the beta weekend...
The first run through I always do solo, and upon killing the skeleton king, I get three junk blues, PLUS these two, which I am now dual wielding.
Is this even possible?

Played around with a Monk. It kind of looks like a more fancy Torchlight to me, to be honest. And not in a good way. There's no excitement whatsoever from leveling up, the stats are updated automatically, I only get to choose predetermined skills. Meh. Then I get lag spikes while playing single player (ugh), and then I "lost connection" in the middle of the game. While playing alone. Brilliant. All the fun seems to have been sucked out of the game for me. :/

I especially like the item names. Namely ATTACK SMASH !
