1) When I have a hardcore character and he dies or I delete him, will my hardcore stash remain (bought slots and whatever is inside it) or do I have to keep one HC char "alive" (not deleted)?

2) For the achievements that require you to reach lvl 60 with 2 of each class, 5 in total and finally 10 characters in total, will Hardcore and Softcore characters both count and will a deleted character count for this?

Simple question that I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere for.

Is Desecration damage fire or holy/arcane resist? If anyone can site a source for a definitive answer on this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

1) You keep the stash upgrades and all the gold you have. Even if you delete the character.

2) Hardcore and Softcore both count towards this achievement. I think deleted characters will also count for this since the achievement will just be upped by 1 for every character when he reaches level 60. Whatever happens after that isn't relevant.

Seriously though, unless you're using something god-awful and non-sensical as your skill setup, then there is no reason you should ever have problems as any class before at least Hell, more realistically Inferno Act II.

If you are so competent at this game then why don't you share your wisdom with those who aren't so fortunate? You will feel much better afterwards and you can stroke your enormous e-penis safe in the knowledge that you are doing your part for the community. Or I can do it for you... I don't mind.

Because nightmare mode is really easy and if you're dying left right and center, you should spend some time to level and gear up or change your playstyle.

Should be fire. Regardless of the damage type, don't stand in it. It has the highest DoT among all the elite abilities (except fire chains).

Force Armor doesn't become available till level 54 (presumably if he's mid-Nightmare, he's not there yet), and Force and Prismatic Armor are the only worthwhile runes for Energy Armor.

Nightmare should pretty much be faceroll with something like Hydra/AO/Magic Weapon/Sparkflint Familiar. Last 2 slots dont really matter, though they probably should be a signature spell (any of them work in Nightmare) and a survivability spell (Diamond Skin probably the best pre-Inferno, though I started using Teleport early just to get used to not relying on Diamond Skin) -- you should be capable of 1-shotting almost anything. Otherwise, look at the AH for some upgrades.

probably because instead of alternating between two weapons, it only uses the one weapon and there is a dexterity boost.

Because your secondary weapon is WORSE than your primary weapon by at least 15%. Basically dont dual wield unless BOTH weapons are very similar in damage. Each attack you make will ALTERNATE weapons, hence less damage on average.

I didn't see this answered - NV stacks boost your overall MF, which of course applies to goblins. If you want to be particularly efficient and kill them only when you have 5 stacks, sure you could come back to them. The main problems I can imagine is that you a) need to remember where the goblin spawned, and b) I'm not sure if they de-spawn after you leave an area for some time or not.

yep, i did that, but whenever I close the game and log back in, Act 3 is gone

Does +x all resist basically equate to +x*10 int for classes where int is not the main stat?
Direct resist boosts don't seem to be factored into the protection stat so until I noticed this I was mostly using that to judge. Now I need to use my brain. :p

Is it still possible to skip a boss/ act on inferno? I didn't want to deal with Belial (inferno) so I had a friend give me a waypoint to the first quest in Act 3.. BUT when I log off, change my quest, and then try to go back to act 3, it's not there. Do I have to kill a boss or complete more of the first quest to get act 3 to stay? >.<
