What's exactly the point, are they seriously taking us like some kind of noob ? I've almost never played the previous diablos, but I instantly felt, once i got 4 skills, there was something wrong. Edit : Btw, is beta closed ? Even for those who pre-paid the game ?

Yes, beta is now closed. Only those who have the closed beta can participate.

Yeah I dont like that or the advanced tooltips thing.
My guess is that Blizzard wants to welcome a lot of new players to the series with this game and ease their way through it with this kind of option and rely on us knowing about them because we spend more time in forums etc.
The release may have hints somewhere speaking of these two options.

In the ig skill descriptions I couldn't find a single line of text which says how much dmg something does/prevents, etc, unlike in the descriptions on Blizzards website. Anyone knows if they plan to change that on release?
*edit: Thx to the guy below *

Like I said in my previous post (or rather suggested) Blizzard should really hint about it:
To see real tooltips you have to activate the advanced tooltips option or press ctrl while watching a skill.

i just read a rather long post about the RMAH and now for the first time i ask myself if anyone is actually paying taxes on the items sold there?
in the post the topic came up that some people want to quit their job and earn their money through D3 instead, imo it is far from possible to earn enough but if you could, what would you tell the goverment since i have no idea how you'd pay taxes on that.. xD
is there a tax on digital goods bought and used in a video game?
|
Not sure about the tax. Still, I am its possible to earn a living buy farm and selling items in game at least in developing countries. Chinese farmers will be the force behind the farming just like they did in WoW.
|
A few month ago, a friend linked me some kind of super large and complicated skill tree, what happenned to that ?

I m interested in that rather long post about RMAH, mind posting the link?

Does anyone know if a dead hc character is still visible like in d2? If it is, will it still use up a character slot? I quite like the idea of being able to see my old dead chars from time to time but don't want to waste a slot on them.

1) What will be the effects of the difficulty settings (normal/nightmare/hell..)? 2) How will you obtain runes? (Do they drop or will they just be available as soon as you reach a certain lvl?) 3) Since skills are unlocked by level - won't every character of a class x and level y be running around using exactly the same skills (the highest available ones with their level)? 4) Will the Witch Doctor (relying mostly on summons) be viable in higher levels/difficulty settings? I remember playing a Necromancer in D2 and was (although I totally liked the mechanics of the char and the lore) haviely disappointed, as my summons were virtually worthless later on because they did like no dps at all to monsters on hell difficulty, plus bossfights were quite difficult...

I'm searching a serious community forum for d3 with decent mods. I don't like the official forum from blizzard because of to much trolling / flaming kids ect. Every second thread is a fucking "race/class/skill X is op" thread in the official forum of sc2 and WoW. I need something like TL for D3, language english or german.

1) Not sure but if it is like D2 then we can expect: Increased damage, Decreased player resistances, increased monster health, more or harder modifiers on bosses
2)Available as auto unlocks per level (if you mean skill runes).
3)No - each skill scales with level as a %, so later unlock is not automatically better. Each skill seems to have different situational benefits / cons so people should still end up building differently if Blizz have done it right. Also applies to runes.
4)I couldn't say. Hopefully they will still work

You can't really do a witch doctor spec which plays like the summonancer - you're never that reliant on the summons, and they scale based on weapon damage like everything else in the game, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Max character level is 60? or is it 99? I checked some of the high tier items and they all have a min equip level of 60

Max level is 60, anyone have an idea for my problem?
|
What was Blizzard's reasoning (if any) for limiting the maximum party from 8 to 4 players?

I know diablofans.com is popular, but I literally know nothing about it's forum so can't vouch for it, but it might be worth a look.

Will D3 have anything like runewords / runes in items, as LoD brought to d2? And if not, have they talked about implementing it in future expansion?
