What are the different Wizard armour spells like?

I.e., do they mean the Wizard can tank a lot of damage? Does it mean they can walk into the middle of large groups and go crazy, or do you still need to do a lot of kiting etc.

I never got a chance to use them so am curious how they play out.

The Diamond Skin skill basically makes you invulnerable for a few seconds in the beta, I don't know how well it scales later on in the game though. I don't know about the other tanking skills.

I haven't been able to find any definitive info on this, so I thought I'd ask here:

As a DH, will crossbow (either 1h or 2h) be strictly superior to bow characters? I'm a huge fan of the Windforce back from my D2 days, so I've kind of made it my goal to farm up to it after release, but from the D3 items page, it looks like Hellrack and Manticore have significantly higher DPS than Windforce, not to mention that Archery passive gives a huge crit% boost to crossbows (while just a 15% damage boost to bows).

Has anyone ever suggested to blizzard to allow people to duel in D3? And what was their response (if they responded)? I'm not talking about the system in D2, but exactly the same system used in WoW. I think this would be such an easy feature that could appease a lot of fans craving a little pvp. But that's just me.

A lot of people have already suggested it. No response.
Maybe it will come with the whole pvp system but don't hope too much.

Well you can't put crossbows 1h and crossbows 2h in the same category. Even the passive that gives bonus depending on the type make the distinction.

Don't take anything at all from Blizzard item pages at this time, it's old and inaccurate and Blizzard clearly said themselves to not trust it.

As to your answer its really hard to give you an answer right now... As for the passive, 15% more damage is often considered better than 50% increased crit unless you already have a HUGE chance to crit. Doing 115 80% of the time and 230 20% of the time when you crit, is better than 100 80% of the time and 250 when you crit.

I didn't play the previous games so couple dumb questions.

Can you move your characters between different difficulties, or should I say play different difficulties with the same character?

And/or can you send items and gold from your Hardcore/Inferno character to Normal character and vice versa?

Yeah, you can change difficulty at any time by selecting quest and in the bottom left corner there's a difficulty setting, though they only unlock for each character as you defeat the easier one's. You could also trade items from difficulties in D2, so I assume you can in D3 by just placing them in your shared stash.

Pretty sure you can be hit with AoE or projectiles flying through the air while in smokescreen. I don't think I've been hit while tumbling but maybe I'm just lucky.

A faster attack speed also means that you will build up hatred faster, which can make a huge difference depending on the type of build you have. Well, not sure if it'll make a 200dps difference, but it's something to consider. It's still basically impossible to say because afaik they haven't even released the latest loot data (and by released, I mean made accessible for data mining). So things could change. The good news is that we'll know for sure in really soon!

Hardcore and normal mode don't interact. It would be too easy to exploit. I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to trade between difficulties.

Hardcore and Normal modes (not to be confused with Normal difficulty) are completely separate, though you share gold automatically between all your hardcore characters and between all your normal characters. Items can be shared by putting them in your stash, though again you can't move anything between hardcore and normal (I tried).

So, in case that's at all confusing, let's say you started a wizard and leveled up to, say, level 10 and you managed to save 1000 gold. Now you start a barbarian. Right from the beginning that barbarian is going to have 1000 gold and access to anything that your wizard put in the stash. If, however, you leveled up to 10 and then decided to make a hardcore character, you would start over from scratch.

Difficulty levels in Diablo extend the game; it's not tiered. Nightmare difficulty will start you off where Normal difficulty leaves you. So you have to pass normal with the one character in order to move on to nightmare. You can, of course, more your characters back to an easier difficulty level, but moving a new character to nightmare after finishing normal with your first character isn't possible.

I don't think you can? Hopefully someone corrects me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can tell. It's also not generally an issue, because the game is paced so that the monsters you fight are going to be generally around your level if you just play the game normally. The monster level progression is also quite linear, so you don't have to worry about one area having monsters much tougher than everyone else (except for elites, of course).
