If you wanted fermi benchmarks from a shaky cam you outta go http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=21996
Either way it's not looking great for the 40% larger GF100 in pricing. They need some magical result or move up to 45nm or down to 28nm and reduce to get costs down, the problem is the chip is so large compered to the avg size silicon size slab it's hard to make which is the main reason for the set backs.

Here is my rig - affectionately named "ludicrous":
Win7 Ultimate 64bit 2x Intel Xeon X5550 2.66GHz 95W CPU 2x Intel STS100C CPU heat sink / fan (Rated for 130W) Intel S5520SC Dual Xeon Workstation Motherboard 2x Intel X-25M 80GB Second Gen SSD - RAID0 boot drive 3x Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB - RAID5 data drive 6x4GB Crucial 1333MHz DDR3 memory EVGA GTX295 CO-OP FTW video card Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium sound card Lian Li PC_A77B Chassis Enermax Galaxy EVO 1250W
... soon to be watercooled.
Among other things, you're probably wondering what someone would do with all that RAM. For starters, it's great for running several 64bit VMs, or a nice 12GB ramdrive (small apps and games, pagefile, etc). Here are some pics:

TBH I have no idea how to pick monitors. I just took the cheapest one I could find on the first page :|

I like the Samsung ( p2350 p2370, p2450 p2470 ) and i have a p2350. Probably among the best TN atm.

I think I'm going with the monitor I updated on the 955 page though it is probably just a placeholder. When I actually get around to buying the parts in April I'll have to remake everything T_T
edit: mahnini 5850 is for when I add extra monitors. I'm not going to buy everything in one piece because my 1.5k budget doesn't cover it :D
I don't need that fancy TN shit or whatever. It's not like I'm trying to do graphic editing or something D:

Where's the best place/cheapest for computer parts?
Tiger Direct, Newegg, ebay/amazon?
|
Apparently microcenter has(had?) some really cheap cores, but the other stuff was pretty much standard. I'd go with Newegg simply out of trust and the customer support there
|
|
I would prefer a shorter monitor actually D:

Also, now that the gtx295 is "last gen" (even with the physX card built in) do you plan on upgrading? Also why all the crappy overpriced intel parts? (And by that i mean the motherboard and coolers)

The Samsung screens i have named are good ( p2350 p2370, p2450 p2470 ). I'm pretty sure they are better than the HanG or Acer you have picked.
Obviously IPS > TN plus they are more expensive.

CRT's are the best monitors ever. mmm i don't think it is really true anymore. The last generations of flat screens are REALLY good. I mean even if the best TN have still shitty angles they are now as fast than the CRT, fairly cheap and with decent colours. But if you take a professional IPS or PVA screen it is just better than your old CRT.
I mean they are at least as good for angles / colours and are clearly better when it comes down to power consumption, weight or look. So i don't think it is true anymore. However the really good PVA and IPS are still quite expensive. But good CRT were too

IPS and PVA area great but they are costly usually IPS is the best balance between lag of processing and image quality. BenQ, Acer, HanzG all make great monitors. Anyways it's not like a choose a shitty viewsonicX series (viewsonic makes the fastest LCDs in terms of input lag(not all of them are speedy but quite a few of them) but they then to have shitty color representation and black representation similar to Asus which for the most part is too bright nearly bleeding bright imo. ofc i'm the user that actually adjusts their monitor to my lighting in the room.

Eh i didn't say that those you picked are BAD. I just think that the more expensive samsung are better ( mostly for default colours ) Honestly i think they would be a good choice for Frag if he really doesn't want to spend more money than his budget but still get a screen > 19" with good latency.
edit: sry if my previous post seemed ( ? ) agressive. That was probably a better pick for Frag indeed. However for someone who has more money or value more his screen than his proc i think a samsung would be a better choice.

If you watch alot of movies and crap on your seen i'd say a high quality IPS screen would be great but if you just want to game a lower quality TN monitor with low responce and decient resolution and size would be fine too. Personally i'm rocking a 28" HannzG monitor i picked up for 240 awhile back 1920x1200 along with a cheap 100 dollar 1440x900 i got when my old viewsonic graphic series screen died.
although i don't use it much for gaming as productivity. I just like that i could push that 28" monitor way back on my desk and still see everything pretty dam well.
