yeah but like the holiday period is kinda break time anyway.. I think if your a outside 300-400 CE type guild getting CE is enough of an achievement. Then reclear whatever you can on an easy schedule is imo ok. Its not like losing a boss or twos worth of loot is devastating.

Oh I don't mean for loots, I mean taking a long break right now could easily lead to a lot of peoiple not returnign to the game since it's so meh right now.

A nice 2 month break from raiding now, I like. Bumped up our rank to ~#870 worldwide which is a huge improvement over last tier. Congrats, that's decent. Still tons of guilds working for CE. You guys aren't planning on doing any re-clears now? I'd be bored with a two month break My guild did their first full Ghuun session on Sunday, and it didn't go very well lol.
We'll do one reclear so the entire roster has all boss achievements. Also one achievement run I believe, though I doubt they'll find 20 players interested for that.
Worst part about Ghuun is the set-up each time. You have a Hunter who knows how to reset the boss yeah? And at least 3 Warlocks I hope?
Roster size for the new raid is indeed an issue. We dwindled down to a roster of 24 at the end of this tier, but 2 ppl have already said they aren't interested in raiding next tier. Some recruitment will have to happen lol.

The Hunter part is very much luxury to be honest. Plenty of guilds killing him with 2 warlocks too.
The 2 Boils nerf was so enormous anyway, he's very accessible for top1000 guilds now.

There isn’t a cap on how much Titan Residuum you can hold, and we do not plan to reset Titan Residuum at the start of Season 2
That's incredibly stupid, we figured this stuff out in 2009 with valor rolling over into justice points.
People who cleared an 18 every week and farm WQ's, emissaries, old raids etc for all of the azerite pieces to scrap are likely gonna save for 8 weeks buying nothing and then grab a 415 azerite 30 seconds after the server comes up while anybody who's returning to the game for the season start will have zero currency.
|
Ugh are they really going to make the currency operate that way? Make my best move for next raid be to stockpile it all for late January so the guild can quickly have the gear to make deep progression?

The new gear will cost more and you'll earn more after S2 starts but it's not clear how much we'll earn per week atm with max effort, what the costs will be and how much more we'll earn in the new season

Yeah, thats is incredible unfair. People who actually play the game have an advantage towards those who dont. Obviously Battle for Azeroth is not worth their time. As they double click on Fortnite

Not quite what they are saying.
They are saying that the currency isn't changing, so people can farm a bunch in season 1, save all that currency, and auto get the highest pieces in season 2 when it comes out without doing any season 2 stuff yet.
The point they are making is that they want it to be season 1 currency should be for season 1 gear (max 385), and you cant immediately buy season 2 gear (max 415) the first day its available because you did a bunch of season 1 stuff.
I dont think they are saying people who don't play should get the same currency, just that the seasons should be separate currency because otherwise you can just stockpile and immediately get best gear day 1 of season.

Buying Mythic Azerite gear before the Mythic raid even launches is pretty hilarious.
I'm gonna assume that won't be feasible, they cannot be this stupid.
|
yeah...we learned this was a stupid idea a long time ago and currency has been reset since. Sounds like the new people didn't bother reading the designer notes of their predecessors.

Your explanation was obvious and didnt need explanation, its clearly Tappio or whatever the original troll was.

There's apparently been further performance improvement w/ this week's nvidia drivers for 8.1 dx12 perf so gains of almost +30% FPS are expected relative to the best current performance (Nvidia dx11 on 8.0.X)

Now stupids take that literal.
Now you can play towards something, have a reason to push high Mythic+ key, improve with your group. But no, of course its: OH MY GOD SOMEONE ELSE(!!!) IS HAVING AN ADVANTAGE!

Hello,
I have been playing a bit of WoW lately pretty casually. Enjoying it so far even if it's not as epic as the good old days (BC/WotlK those were the days).
I've got a question for you macro-wizards. I'm playing an Enhancement Shaman. How do I make a macro that will allow me to cast Rockbiter/Lava Lash unless Stormstrike is available -
I tried doing
/cast Stormstrike /cast Rockbiter
but it isn't working the day I intend it to - anyone got an idea? cheers

There's no clever workaround? like those no-target modifier for mouseover macros? None that I am aware of. Target conditions check if there is someone under the mouse (or if you have a target) and if they are friendly/hostile, stuff like that. There is no check for "I this ability off cooldown" precisely to avoid what you want to do and make sure you have to actually pay some form of attention.
