Did you get Ghuun Laurens?
Also guys help me this guild I’m playing with is so incredibly toxic. On top of that I’m not gonna be in on Ghuun during progression, and we’re gonna start extending soon. I’d be fine with that if they weren’t fielding a bunch of terrible players. Certain veteran players in the guild seem to be in on every fight despite mediocre performance. Not really a fan of it.
On another note I kind of want to faction switch to Alliance just so I can switch my Rogue to Void Elf. My Lock is already on Alliance too. Wish there were more guilds recruiting that fit my preferred raid times though. The faction imbalance is a lot bigger than I realized lol.
Edit: forgot to mention this RL put me on small adds tonight for fetid even though I play Assassination (and was under the impression I would be on the mutated mass). Asked if I could go reforge my Azerite gear to play Sub and he was like naw it’s fine. Felt real bad

I'm having troubles finding a proper new guild. Was previously in a Swedish only guild that had 2 mandatory raid nights a week and one optional raid night per week. I felt it fitted my life pretty perfectly as raid times were manageable (18:30 - 22:00 CET) and days were also optimal (mon, wed, sunday). Guild disbanded on 2/8 M while we were progressing on Zek'Voz due to attendance issues. Haven't be able to find a new guild since.
Does anyone have any tips on how to go about finding a new guild? So far I'm currently just trying to stay active on https://www.mmo-champion.com/forums/260-Recruitment-EU-English-Servers and I always try to look for recruitment announcements in /2 while im playing. Am I missing something or is that pretty much it?
Also is promoting yourself on Raider.io / mmo.champion worth it, does anyone have any experience in trying to find new guilds? Any tips appriciated!

What do you play Merz?
We are one of the few pure 2 night Mythic guilds in EU I think, we do Mon+Thurs 20-24 with a break at 22 for 15 minutes. We are 7/8 right now. If you are a lock you are a shoe in^

To be honest it’s probably not too hard to pug Zek and maybe even Vectis at this point. If you don’t want to pug you can try going on WoWprogress and just search your realm. Look for 2/8 or 3/8 groups that have an R beside their guild name. This means they are recruiting. If your logs are exceptional you can possibly get into a guild that is 4/8 or higher as well.

I main prot paladin and I try to maintain alts which are/can be capable tanking alternatives in current meta. Which also means that I'm naturally melee dps offspecc and/or healing (paladin). So no Lock unfortunately . Also raid times (20-24) are too much for me personally. Actual raid times are more important than on what days (except that I refuse to raid on fridays and saturdays). I have a busy schedule so anything past 22:30 simply does not work because It'll deprive me from sleep . But much thanks for the interest!

Thank you. I didn't know about wowprogress I will check it out. Yes Zek'Voz can most definitely be pugged and probably Vectis too with a group of experienced people. I'm just really sick of the pugging environment as I did Legion 100% Solo and I've done my fair shares of pugs in BfA as well seeing how I try to maintain 3 alts. I just cba the toxic environment and the risk of people disbanding after 1 or 2 bosses :<

And yea pugging sucks. I wasn’t really recommending it long term but it might not hurt to try and get an extra kill or two this week while you are still without a guild. Completely understandable if you don’t want to bother though lol.

Alas no, we reached p3 for the first time and people dropped like flies, I guess they were stressed idk. 11% wipe. After that one of our healers got a bluescreen due to some driver errors and we had to call the raid 1:20 hours early cause he couldn't get it fixed. This has happened before, we're trying to fix his touchpad driver issues but no luck yet XD
On Thursday one of our warlocks can't make it so that raid has been scrapped.
Sunday it is

Haha yeah I agree. I have been trying to get whatever kills I can squeeze in since the disband. But they have all been the standard Taloc/Mother. Even groups of Taloc/Mother disband at Taloc and then you are left locked into Raid ID with only 1/8 done that week. It's a nightmare. Even groups where people are sitting at 3/8 or 4/8 M they tend to instantly leave after first boss because they were targetting Taloc loot.
I guess due to the nature of things it is going to be easier and easier to actually pug 3/8 and maybe even 4/8 M as most people should have farmed whatever loot they needed from Taloc/Mother at this point and are fine with locking themselves into a raid ID just for a single boss kill.

zek is puggable but I have literally never seen a pug do it. lol The first two are so easy that everyone just goes for the free loot and its basically guaranteed (even on groups that 1 shot taloc and mother) that at least 1 or 2 instantly leave, at that point who wants to join a pug and get locked without access to the free loot bosses? so its extremely hard to fill. I mean, I've had friends try to invite me or alts to zek groups and even then im like 'hell no'.

Yeah sadly our tanks are locked and loaded so to say. Prot Paladin is brill though I mock about on it as offspec outside raiding. (always been healer) Times are abit rough yeah, I'm the only Swedish lad and we got a Norwegian fella otherwise everyone is basically UK based which means for "them" it's 19-23 so been rough getting it changed heh.

There seems to be more issue than just that but if it's any consolation, putting rogues on smalls adds isn't that crazy. Basically nobody is good on the small adds now, they die too fast for everyone.

I got ghuun last night after the nerf (we had a 5-6% wipe monday pre nerf so we were expecting to kill it this week sometime). I also understand frustration of under performing players in prog if you could perform stronger. Even in our kill we had a few people playing pretty sloppily, but having low pull count in p3 can lead to that (our p1/p2 have been really solid). I even played poorly in p3 and still somehow got a purple parse.
Hopefully they get it soon since the nerf made the flight a lot easier to progress (getting orb runners down properly will make the fight go much faster due to less chance of MCs happening in p2).
I am happy its dead just because I am still low ilvl (not even 380 in raid gear), so getting reclears will allow me to actually get better items in slots I need them (weapon/trinket especially).

raider.io maybe, mmo-champion definitely not.
Probably best to go through wowprogress, make a list of guilds that interest you and contact them with info provided. Some will engage with you fairly quickly, most of the ones that reply late or not at all aren't worth your time.

A nice 2 month break from raiding now, I like.
Bumped up our rank to ~#870 worldwide which is a huge improvement over last tier.

Congrats, that's decent. Still tons of guilds working for CE. You guys aren't planning on doing any re-clears now? I'd be bored with a two month break
My guild did their first full Ghuun session on Sunday, and it didn't go very well lol.

Our guild isn't taking a break, but we may also not full clear the raid each week. This is our first reclear from our kill, so hopefully it goes well and we get to mythrax or ghuun again tonight. If we full clear I would be super happy, then we can cut down to 1, maybe 2 nights a week to get a bit more gear.

I feel like any guild looking to take a break until next raid is risking big, especially if it's confirmed the raid is late January instead of just after New Year.
