Paragon killed LK 2-3 weeks before the next best guild with 5% less everything iirc. I think that the general player has gotten better but class complexity has gone down since MOP. You no longer see players like Sparkuggz or Muqq just raping meters simply because they are better than everyone else.

As I said, close to unprecedented. I highly doubt that during Wrath Paragon was raiding close to the hours that method are raiding. So it's hard to compare. And even if he's the hardest boss after LK, that's still the hardest in almost 10 years

I never like people comparing with Heroic LK. The limitted number of try was the BIGGEST part of everything involving that boss.

I just finished a +20 Karazhan Upper. Took us 3 hours ish.
Curator had 967 Million health lol
Medivh's damage was so high we had to 2 heal it. ( 2.5M damage on Inferno Bolt's impact, and that's after the -25% damage nerf it recieved a few days ago )
We had to soak close to 6 / 8 orbs per phase on Mana Devourer to have enough time.
Last boss was easy tho, but we are cheesing the second phase.
Overall, it was painful, but it was pretty fun to finish it.

Nah, we're not going for the competition. Just doing it for fun really. We don't even truly have a 5man, it's just Vengeance + Holypal + Windwalker and the other two rotate quite a bit.
My old Push group split up because our healer wanted to try the competition but some others didn't. The previous week having the very easy affixes got some people motivated to up their M+ score, and during that Mione and our Paladin found out they kinda like pushing, so we're just keeping the flow going.
The key in the weekly chest only being a -1 from your best key really helped making pushing less annoying too.

Arms
The Great Storm's Eye damage bonus per stack reduced to 2% (was 4%).
Ayala's Stone Heart now procs 40% less often for Arms Warriors.

Looking at WCL those 2 legendaries did seem extremely common and powerful, probably fair enough to have arms damage reduced in that way. I can't speak for the exact numbers, -40% and -50% nerfs are huge
they did the same thing for sub rogues but some of the legendaries hit also impacted the other specs which are not performing well

This makes some fights marginally more difficult.

Nah it's another one. He's done a +19 CoS during this Bursting Skittish Tyrranical week. He's waiting a bit to post it but durign one of our traditional keys, after our healer died during Melandrus.. well.. he saw he couldn't really die to that boss.
He used a pretty silly tactic to kill the second boss ( with Sigil of Misery again ) and the rest is apparently pretty easy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so much stuff that some friends fail for 3 hours with a full group of 5 people when it's like hey, Mione solo'd it 2 levels higher!
I noticed some oddities in havoc sims and got another 15k DPS out of the APL for 111 style (prolonged power, hard removing all instances of throw glaive as they were being miscast at critical times in the fight)
my 5min ST simdps is now 1285k in 923 equipped (tier 19)

A lot happened already, even before the kills for Avatar+KJ. It looks like blizz was ghosting the top guilds and actively nerfing things + removing unintended tactics on the fly ("live tuning"  ) but it was also literally impossible and untested originally and for a while after progress began.

This fight is nigh impossible for 99% of Mythic raiders and more gear isn't going to do enough.

Where do people go for in depth class discuss these days? Is there anything similar to the old elitist jerks for any of the classes?
That place was basically my bible for working out how to play my class. The dps simulators that are floating around are fine but I loved reading the long form theorycrafting about why a certain rotation was better than another.
