Soaking mechanics that deal high damage and also restrict movement should be used sparingly in my opinion because often having the mechanic do one or the other is enough to make it difficult to handle. The damage an ability does is rarely the main reason a raid will struggle. It is usually going to be the movement constraints that cause a cascading effect because players generally can't perform their roles while moving. When you have an ability that deals high damage while having high positional requirements you are shoehorned into carrying a small set of classes with the tools to deal with both happening at once. This is generally not a problem because a raid will normally have 3-5 of these classes total but when you string a bunch of these abilities together you get into the problem that currently exists.

Also, they tried removing rogue utility but then rogues became a class no one played because they are not really fun and lack super satisfying moments of gameplay. This isn't really a problem that only rogues have though.

Well take for example Fel lash on spellblade, just use a monk or a pala and solo soak instead of 10 people. Tichondrius? Rogue or pala solo soak. That green circle debuff? People just played without triggering a single one. In ToS also dark mark on avatar, hammers on maiden, big armageddons (i cant take those as a pala unless immune). All of that is better single soaked than group soaked and the amount of them forces you to stack classes. :/

Part of it is because of very fast gear scaling, a flat damage number is going to change in difficulty more than a 1shot mechanic will (being potentially impossible in low gear and trivial in high gear simultaneously) so they just put 1shots everywhere - a 1shot is a 1shot.

This week was the dream for M+. Got 2100 M+ score from it, a bunch of really gear for the guild overall. ( 945 neck , 930 ring, 915 memento, 930 cloak for myself )

Not sure how any of the +19 I'll get from the weekly chets will be doable in Tyrannical tho. Bosses are going to be almost 1 Billion health by that level...
Going to have to reduce the key by starting them and quitting a bunch of time to brign them down, atleast we can do that now I guess.

Had overall like 10 coens and 10 karas...not one good arcway key, the one i did was leeched from a guy in discord. Still a bit salty, could have had way better score if it wasnt for such shitty key luck..fuck i cant see coen anymore.

I just did a 18 CoS which we did in time. Got us a CoS 19.

We got the +25% health on the +18, didn't get it during the +19 ( other buff was +10% dammage for both run, no other buffs ).. Melandrus wasn't doable anymore. =|

i love the concept of CoS but it can be so hit or miss in m+, you either get the OP trap/engineering thing or you get an enforcer spawning on you while you're doing a miniboss on a +16 fortified

God damn it's Cathedral Lowere Karazhan butchering day.

I did a +18 Cathedral and Lower Kz just before the fixes and honestly they were not hard. This is pretty harsh as far as nerf goes.

Actually... The hotfixes might have been live already.. which explains why our healer was shocked at Maiden holy ground damage.

Those two stuck out as a few levels harder than the others especially w/ the wrong affixes. a few levels is a big deal nowadays, 1.4x more guaranteed loot etc

Sometimes the hotfixes are live 8 hours before they're announced, sometimes they come the next day

Any hint of epic gems yet? The worth of gems increases steadily with gear as secondary stats multiply each other in effectiveness but the worth of item levels increases faster than gems. As a result of that a +250 gem in Argus gear will be worth ~fewer item levels than a +150 gem in start of expansion gear

They don't have the right comp and their priest has no disc legs. Mages aren't very sturdy compared to some other classes after the molten armor nerfs.
