Well InFNitY you should get your story right. I dont know how much of this I am liberal to say, however lets just say mYm wanted the entire squad of ToT (active players) and were gonna sponsor us (good sponsoring despite most other teams). Most of our members felt we would do what the majority did, and mondi wanted to stay ToT, since he didnt really care about money that much. And then most of us wanted to stay with him and not split the clan.
Even so, most of you have heard Nick (Testie) talk about going to korea since its been a dream for a long time for him. And if mYm can help him with that I can understand his decision, and I know for a fact that he feels kinda bad and didnt wanna leave ToT but the right offer must have come along his way and thats it.
However ToT will keep fighting and now we have 3 really good teams in the clanleagues who will fight for both honour and pride.

A. the bad experience with pG B. the majority didn't want ToT to end

I think it's fine to be bitter in the ToT) letter, and come on, it's two of your oldest and best members leaving for a team that doesn't really show up in force, and rosters some of the "strongest" players but never wins anything because they never seem to care about any events.

Twisted I never said it was his decision alone, but when you guys joined pG you( the other ToT members) said that mondi would be the only one getting money from pG, that he wanted to join pG because he would earn money there and that you wanted to support him and thus joined with him.

it is lame to give up friends for money but if you want to make what you do into something slightly more than a hobby sometimes you have to learn to accept some unfortuneate aspects of professionalism. anyone who changes their tone talking to their old friend because they joined a different starcraft clan for the money is probably overdoing it a little and it wouldn't be entirely the fault of the one who chose to change clans. for some it is better to have more of a day job and keep their social values and all, and at least sometimes it really is selling out otherwise, but not always. edit: trying to say i support testie and sen because it's not selling out in this case, and giving up one's friends is unecessary because they don't have to be dicks and see you differently, and might not.

dunno if lazer plays anymore but mondi 2v2ed fine with him before and they were just about as good as testie and him if not better (maybe testie and mondi were better only because their relative skill increased during the time they played together)

And yes, it hurts me a lot. I'm literally pained as i've torn something I never foresaw happening. There's actually a lot more pain than I expected and realized. A lot more. the most of your "new sponsored" clans are not as serious as you think, if you read some of the storys of players that did not get what was promissed and never got payed. This is what also happend in pG in the deal ToT>pG, caught with a fakesponsor ^^, done by one of the new managers. If you follow some good players and ask why they change tag like underware you will find out fast about the "oh so good new teams". MYM is a very old clan with very honest and trustfull leaders, there will be no cheating but hard buisness.
i hope your going into MYM because it will bring you one step closer to going pro and not for the money that is involved if you make it places... thatsjust selfish this game is love not greed remember that testie so it can help you get better, i hope u actually like sc and not just good and think "im gonna go make money bcus im good" ... that wud surely be gay..

Testie going to korea to play SC at the highest level (If that is his ultimate goal) is like the best korean hockey player coming to North America to play in the NHL. He is going to get absolutely raped and ran circles around. The level of competition in the non-korean community is so inferior that there is almost no point. There are so many seasoned pros that have been weeded out of thousands upon thousands of hopefuls that have given it their all and still failed. Not that I wouldnt like to see Testie or some other non korean tear shit up in korea its just that no non-korean has ever achieved very much there and inevitably has just given up. Getting through the financial and language barrier is a huge burden as well.
I am well aware of the level of competition there. You watch them play. I play them first hand and have for years except when I was with Janice. I of all people know how amazingly difficult it is, and I have a lot more respect for them than you know. Should I go, I would not go for glory, or to chase a dream. It's no "dream." I would go because BW is my passion, and I would thoroughly and enjoy it regardless of the outcome. I would not be crushed, I would love it. I would stay as long as I can and play to the best of my abilities. I would still do my very best and give it my all.
It has also given me another learning opportunity, as I am taking a bigger interest in languages and would like be fluent in more than one. So I have started studying. More languages never hurts for the future, atleast.
But seeing as there is no specific date set and I was a bit premature in talking about going a month ago or so, calm down. BW is not dying, the players there will be perhaps a bit more amazing and refined in the future, but that does not worry me. Even if SC2 comes out tomorrow, BW will still live. The sooner the better I agree, but life can move at a slow pace and sometimes, you simply have to wait.

nevertheless i have no real opinion about Testie but if he feels the need inside him to try his best in Korea he should do it ! And it would be very interesting to see how far he can get. When Testie goes to Korea we foreigners have our absolute best Broodwar gamers over there . Draco and Testie. (only Sen and Mondi are evenly great in skill )

I dont like Testie since i read a thread of him at Teamliquid in 2003 ( i read it in 2003 but maybe it was written before ? ) that was like : I know this game better than anyone else . I have played even more than progamers ... blabla i am the best . You alle have no idea about that game ... then some X-17 things etc.
This was long time ago and i thought omg this guy is totally nuts in a negativ way. Since then there were lots of things that confirmed me in this opinion. GG.net KOTH was only one of this things .
But nowadays i dont care about it anymore.
Testie should do what he thinks is right for him. end of story

like i said phase one has started,testie feels bad,some guys have already started saying stuff they didn't before,etc. now let's wait for the last phase when they all make love and decide it's time to be friends again.
