That and their schedule is crazy hard this year. As for my Eagles, I'm def apprehensive. Dropping Desean (last year), McCoy, and Maclin and picking up a 31 year old RB (will be 32 when season starts). Resigning the Butt Fumble while ignoring Foles (who is obviously going to be trade bait at this point). Overpaying for a second tier cb, cut Cole and letting a stud in Herreman go (this one makes some sense but still). Obviously more is yet to come, especially on draft day, but man this is a reckoning. I'm still optimistic but holy shit is Kelly putting a target on his back. The "process" better work or he'll get run out of town, if not the NFL. Redskins still exist too. They'll be in the running for the #1 pick

At this point I feel like they must just be using that team to launder money or something because they definitely aren't trying to build a winning team. Who knows how much they paid for their new logo lol...? + Show Spoiler +

Still, the biggest concern with the Niners is the potential shit show that will be the Niner's coaching situation. That's what really scares me.

I give kelly a year or two and then he's gone. He isn't the hoodie Well to be fair, this was a 4-12 team that he turned into a 10 win team because of his coaching. Then they won another 10 wins by subtracting Desean Jackson and adding Butt Fumble. Chip hasn't proven his personnel choices are up in line with his tactical strengths, but at this point I have faith the man knows his shit.

I mean I know he's not a world beater at WR but I feel like people are kind of selling him short. I can't see him being more disappointing than what you've had I'd be fine with getting Torrey Smith if the price is right. It's no secret that the Niners' biggest need is a vertical threat, which Torrey Smith is. The larger issue is whether Kaepernick will ever be accurate enough to hit him in stride.

Lords of the 1 year early rather than 1 year late. That and the "let them loose, hope nobody picks them up and bring them back at a fraction of the price" move.

Or that we don't have the cap space to sign him to what he wants and I'm hearing he wants 3 years 48 million with 40 million GTD. The patriots have no intention of paying $16M a year in the current market for 2015, 2016 and 2017 services. How it's spread makes little difference to me. Make it $16M, $16M and $16M. IMO, Revis is NOT worth $16M to Belichick. It is that simple.

Losing Justin Smith is a bigger issue. Maybe guys like Dial and Carradine will continue to step up this year. Maybe Darnell Dockett will be healthy enough to comfortably Smith's shoes. I just wonder, though, because the entire defense was structured around Justin Smith dominating the inside of the line. Still, the biggest concern with the Niners is the potential shit show that will be the Niner's coaching situation. That's what really scares me. Losing Willis blows. Borland looked good last year but again he was playing with a ton of talent around him that made his job much easier. Also Bowman is fantastic but we dont know for sure how he will play coming off that knee injury. But I do agree that as much as Willis is the better individual player, we have no replacement that comes even close to Smith. Dockett is good but there is no one else proven after that no matter how much people talk up guys like Dial, Carradine, etc. 3-4 is only as good as the space eaters up front. Torey Smith really depends on the deal. If we are paying him like a #1 it is dumb. But the offense is desperate for a fast guy to stretch the field. I just wish he were taller to be more of a RZ threat ( I don't think he sniffs 10 tds again in SF). But as far as the deep ball, that's the one throwing thing Kap is actually good at. He and RW are among the most accurate in the league for deep balls

I really wanna hear Willis' explanation. Maybe mounting injuries and the uncertain future of the team pushed him out. Apparently that toe injury had been an issue for several years now

Kaep's throws just need to be close enough for a penalty to be called.

Lol that's so true (having him on fantasy brought special attention to that fact for me). I wonder if that was actually said by someone when they were making the decision (or at least what they were thinking to themselves)?

-Too bad about Willis. I remember being super angry when he was picked one before the Bills's choice when he was drafted. Hope he enjoys his retirement. -The Browns are a train wreck. I have a close friend who worked for them until very recently and he couldn't wait to get out. He said it's an absolute mess. The meddlesome owner thing is real. -Love what Kelly is doing with Philly. Why is it that people accept that 32 teams do the same thing, all but 1 fail, and then those same people lambast a guy for trying something? He has a plan which is better than a slew of teams.
