So very similar in general, very different in effect. The Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League have signed Michael Sam. I think the CFL season starts in late June.. i know for a fact they only have 2 pre-season games... so pre-season is approximately 2 weeks.
So i guess Sam is set to play the entire CFL Season....which ends in late November.
As a vague yard stick.. Warren Moon had to play 6 years in the CFL in order to break the colour barrier in the NFL for QBs.

I doubt Sam will "break the barrier" he is not really that good. IMO the first person to actually do it will be in his 2nd or third season in the NFL when he comes out.
|
i'm waiting for Oprah to do a big interview with Sam in Edmonton in November so people can see all the "sacrifice and suffering" he is going through. Moon played his entire career in Edmonton and every year they played in late November.

The CFL will takes its toll on his body ...i think only Toronto has a natural grass surface..all the other teams play on artificial turf.

Lol Godell is still hearing the appeal. So basically hes either dumb, really wants to see this in court, or is just stalling to delay the fall out. I don't think this ends well for him.

It ends with him making $50 million a year, and Tom Brady serving the # of games of the suspension that he so desires.

Bobby Kotick and Co. just had to pay out $275 million in that ATVI lawsuit. It just means Bobby will have to own 1 less 20,000 square foot mansion. Also, He might have to move into a smaller ocean side castle.

Also in 2004 you were like... what... 9 years old? You talk like an old sour man, but your entire life has been a GOLD MINE as a Boston-ish sports fan. More evidence that you remain a horrible human being.

I was hoping it was some kind of inside joke with friends, it's just a sport guys O_O
(A sport that's gonna piss me off next year when the Chiefs lose due to a missed PAT thanks to the new rules)

in Toronto , the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Argonauts have all moved attendance #s up or down depending on their motives in the past 15 years. If I did some real digging into the TFC and Raptors I wonder what I'd find.
I don't know if blaming it on blackout rules holds water here...because none of these teams i listed have tv black out rules. Welcome to the real world.,, most adults are liars.

i guess if Sam does what Cameron Wake did he'll get a legit shot at the NFL.
Thing is .. the years Wake piled up his impressive stats the BC Lions had the best defensive line in the league making it tough for offenses to focus on Wake. If Montreal has a lousy defensive line it won't matter what Sam does.

Any information on where Ray Rice will land? I'm thinking either Oakland, Dallas, or back to Baltimore.

I am still surprised that teams are interested in him. He was replacement level in his last season.
