Basically the only 'cheat' the Browns did that isn't labeled "All 32 teams" is Textgate, which most people actually think hurt our on field performance because Ray Farmer is an idiot that pissed off Kyle Shanahan with his bullshit texting/interference. Joe Haden had a PED pop in the offseason(claimed amphetamines like everyone does but that's probably bullshit like it usually is), so that one can stick I guess. Summary: as a Browns fan I can basically call everyone else cheaters. Get on our level?

Because, oh I don't know, the Chargers were found innocent? http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2012/nov/07/chargers-cleared-use-sticky-towels-still-face-fine/ Amazing how all the Patriot fans are convinced that Brady never did anything at all and are deflecting like crazy.... while all we hear about is how punishments are imminent. Perhaps if he would've just cooperated with the investigation, all would've been okay?

Perhaps if he would've just cooperated with the investigation, all would've been okay? The science is questionable at best as the sample size for the control group (the colts balls) only has 4, and if you take 4 of the patriots balls you get the same numbers... which contradicts their whole conclusion. This is combined with a questionable company being used to do some testing. 8 of the balls were also ~ 1lb under 12.5 which the report itself concludes is what they should have been. PLUS the official who initially measured the balls pregame thought he used one gauge but isn't sure and the report assumes he used the one he didn't think he used. The difference between the two gauges reads ~0.4. In New England the texts are viewed in a different context (joking) than the rest of the country seems to view them and one could argue they drew a conclusion then put much of the evidence into that context. I'd like someone from Boston who knows nothing about the situation to read those messages and see what conclusions they draw. This is also in conjunction with the fact that the two people that are the main point of the investigation willingly handed over this evidence with no real reason too (this isn't a police investigation and they had no obligation to hand personal information over). Brady did cooperate, giving what was described as a day long interview with multiple investigators and lawyers present. Brady was asked not to hand over his personal texts and information because it conflicts with the players unions stance and would set a precedent for future investigations with other players they don't want. Lastly, much to the New York media's dismay a suspension is not "imminent". The NFL made a statement saying otherwise.

The difference between the two gauges reads ~0.4. The last two sentences of your post are really important. The two needles were quite distinct in appearance; one needle was longer and was bent at the base. This needle is the one that the referee Walt Anderson recalled using before the game, though the lawyers coaxed him into stating that he wasn't certain. If we go by the referee's recollection and assume he used this needle, all of the Patriots' balls fall within the allowed limits and there is no violation at all. Instead the report insists on assuming that the referee used the other needle, which it needed to do for a pressure violation to be found. Florio sums it up here: profootballtalk.nbcsports.com.

It doesn't help that prominent radio hosts Danny O'Neil and Dave Wyman are practically on the Seahawk's payroll. Not to mention corporate shill and executive (and also host of his own show with another blowhard) Mike Salk runs softball PR interviews for 'Hawks GM John Schneider. We are being told we should "trust" in the Seahawks judgment, so far as that Danny O'Neil argued about semantics, ie that John is not a liar about Clark hitting his girlfriend, because choking and throwing may not TECHNICALLY qualify as striking a woman... I absolutely cannot stand 710 ESPN Seattle right now

And then Belichick notices a flaw in the wording of the punishment that allows them to play under very awkward circumstances and he triumphs over the rules once again.
