LOL, the "report" basically says: "Hey, they texted a bunch after it happened and he talked about getting signed things from Brady for his kids, so he probably did it. Also, I don't think that guy actually had to pee. Our scientists that previously said cigarrettes didn't cause cancer also said it wasn't possible."
From what I've read the texts are normal new englander fuck my boss messages
McNally: Tom sucks...im going make that next ball a f----- balloon
Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done
Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though
Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs f----- us...a few of then were at almost 16
Jastremski: They didnt recheck then after they put air in them
McNally: F--- tom ...16 is nothing...wait till next sunday
Jastremski: Omg! Spaz
So Tom was bitching that the refs overinflated the balls and told the guy to check them, Tom was right then the guy jokes that hes gonna overinflate it just to piss him off. Don't understand how this is even included in here.
There really isn't any evidence in the report at all other than the dude took the balls into the bathroom for a 90-100 seconds. Does anyone know what they said the actual numbers on the balls was? Can't find it anywhere.

The technical portion of the report by Exponent actually confirmed the scientific veracity of everything Belichick said, including the way that their ball rubbing process increases the PSI of the ball. It's actually Bill Nye - 0, Bill Belichick - 1.

supposedly 3 of the 4 Colts balls they measured were also underinflated

I believe this report about as much as I believe Trumps "report" that Obama is Kenyan.

I think Andrew Luck should be forced to play for the team that drafted after the colts to punish the colts

I think the Seahawks should get the Super Bowl by DQ but I'm a little biased. I think letting him pick a toe to remove is fair.
No but seriously, it can't be the slap on the wrist it should be just because they have a prior, not sure what though.

Actually if you read the dates of the texts they were from summer 2014 - end of 2014, so they were before anyone knew anything about the deflation stuff. That's what make it look really bad when he says stuff like, "I'm not going to ESPN...yet" and "come on help the deflator", he obviously knew he was doing something wrong and the public didn't know anything about it yet.
I certainly don't think it affected the outcome of the Colts game in any way, but when the Patriots keep getting caught trying to find new ways to cheat the system, you have to eventually come down on them. Even if in the grand scheme of things deflated balls aren't that big of a deal.
If you actually read the report it is pretty convincing evidence though. The whole more likely than not thing is just legal speak for "we couldn't find anyone literally admitting to it in the texts/evidence" so I don't know why people are harping on that other than the fact that it's easy to make fun of.
Also, I find it curious that the only texts you quoted to make your point are by far the most benign of the ones that were leaked.

Couldn't I argue that Tom Brady built a huge amount of his reputation on cold weather performance, and that is what would be most likely to be affected?

I love anything to do with the Patriots, Evil Bill and that stud muffin Tom. Brings out the best of NFL fans.

tbh, seeing as im just rooting for chaos with the niners set to look like ass, I'm kind of happy that the dark lord won after most likely cheating.

i guess i'm supposed to get excited about the PSI of footballs... but i just can't Cheating has been part of the NFL forever.
I just finished reading "Just Win, Baby" and i must say that Al Davis' Oakland Raiders make the Patriots look like catholic school boys. Jack Tatum turns a guy into a quadraplegic on a late hit in a pre-season game.. and we are supposed to view Brady/Bellicheck as evil? umm ya ok.
