I just don't get how CB/ILB each lost two starters and they're not being addressed at all. Maybe Ward will be switching to CB full time?
what do you think of Smelter? I've never seen him play

Their decision to not prioritize CBs and ILB's is just mindboggling. I don't know how any Niners fan can be happy with this draft. There's only two possible emotions:
1) Maybe this will all work out in the end; and 2) JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THIS ORGANIZATION HAS A SET WORLD RECORD FOR GOING DOWN THE SHITTER!

What time is the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight scheduled for? Expecting the Wells report to be published at about the same time.

Played baseball with Blake Bell as a kid, always cool to see people from my city succeeding. Sounds like the 49ers think more highly of him than OU did lol

I am still baffled by the Niners decision to not at least use a mid round pick on ILB/CB. If Bowman isn't 100% what the fuck happens??

Does anyone find it hilarious even though as amazing Tom Brady is as a player, he'll probably never grace the cover of Madden in his life time?

I've never seen him play I'm obviously biased being a gt fan but I think smelter is a great pick. Very physical receiver, huge hands, fast. Made a ton of clutch catches for us at gt. better hands than anyone at gt since Calvin. I think we could have beaten fsu if he wasn't hurt. Obviously has subpar route running do to coming out of the triple option but he did more than demaryius run in a straight line Thomas did at GT and he was able to pick it up. I think he was worth more than a 4th easily without his injury and GT sources have made it sound like his rehab is going well. Some considered him the best blocking receiver in the draft. Some comments about occasional body catches like Vernon Davis worries some people but I think that has more to do with our shitty passing than him.

most likely to grace the cover: Odell Beckham Jr.
hype train is a rolling and Madden has had a history of putting 'one hit wonder' players on the cover: Young, Hillis, to an extent Vick and Alexander also.
most likely to fail if on the cover: Patrick Peterson
losing Todd Bowles and Cromartie doesn't bode well and Peterson is generally boom/bust. he has games with multiple picks, followed by games where he gets burned a few times.

Patriots players never go on big game covers because they decline if offered. . Brady did appear on the back yard football cover once. I suspect that he'll take his 4 rings over Vince Youngs madden cover.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000491385/article/wells-report-released-on-footballs-used-in-afc-title
"We have concluded that it is more probable than not that Jim McNally (the Officials Locker Room attendant for the Patriots) and John Jastremski (an equipment assistant for the Patriots) participated in a deliberate effort to release air from Patriots game balls after the balls were examined by the referee.
"Based on the evidence, it also is our view that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady (the quarterback for the Patriots) was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of McNally and Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls," the report reads.
The reports says that other Patriots personnel were not aware of the effort.
"We do not believe that the evidence establishes that any other Patriots personnel participated in or had knowledge of the violation of the Playing Rules or the deliberate effort to circumvent the rules described in this Report. In particular, we do not believe there was any wrongdoing or knowledge of wrongdoing by Patriots ownership, Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick or any other Patriots coach in the matters investigated."
