Theres no way the terran can properly defend from carriers without the goliath range. It would also mess up a lot of balance in the game in other mus. | ||

Terran doesn't have any other sufficient counter, because wraiths die to sairs/goons and storm except for lockdown, which is even more gas-intensive and requires double attention compared to goliaths. Carriers on their own aren't suppose to be indistuctable, but combined with goons/storm/statis/(web) they nearly are. U see carriers are there to even protoss supply disadvantage, since protoss 200/200(considering purely ground force) doesn't mean that much as terran 200/200 or zerg 200/200. While 200/200 of Carriers/arbiters some storm, sair... is much harder to beat with any other 200/200. | ||
