I guess I was hoping Valve would have just copied LoL in implementing ranked queue. I just don't see how having stacks and solo queuers together doesn't create a shitstorm.

ranked is exactly like non ranked dota it feels, no one communicates and you have to be nice to other human beings if you want to win, disappointing

I think they just should ditch the idea of having different MMR for party vs solo in unranked matchmaking and bring back the solo queue option for unranked only, feels like we'd be a lot closer to making everyone happy.

They should swap the ranked and the normal MM. You can have mixed solo and stack in the normal, while for the ranked one, solo and stack are on different pool.

To be fair, I can't understand why does everybody care about this solo queue nonsense, it was a mechanism for people getting worried about 'unfair losses' (?), but now that winrates don't mean shit, why would anyone be freaking out? It was always a fucking lottery anyway, now most of the tryhards are out to play ranked so you can enjoy yourself regardless. Like, how come numbers can spoil your fun so much?

Ive played 2 and everyone has been polite and worked well. Of course, I play poor man support, so I buy all the wards, but this is the role I have chosen for myself.

Honestly, I've played 5 games so far and all good games but one. The one game there was 2 guys together and didn't really care what happened so they just feed. IMO, I think this is awesome! It's so much fun and intense however, I'm really worried that more and more people that dont' really will start to play ranked matches and I only have one friend that plays DOTA with me

Gotta give it a week or so before really knowing how it will be.

First 2 mmr games werent amazing, but 3rd one was worse than the average regular mmr with a SB being abandoned for being useless or whatever they call it in games and having another teammates being like oh hey game is now safe to leave and we are 4 minutes away from winning so ill just leave too! into teammates being retards afterward and losing a 5v3 game fter being up 2 sets of rax. Dota is such a fun game!

Solution to annoying players in ranked: play CM, there are a lot less trolls and most drafts are solid.
