Well he basically boasts in all the first pages. He talks about having a lot on knowledge on the subject and mentions some technical stuff, but without explaining it (like to hack X type of site you need to use X thing) but nothing that seemed very WOA. Then later on when he starts being flamed by 1 or 2 people (most of the people in the forum laughed about it or didnt care) he starts saying how some people share their PGTour user / pass in paypal. So he tried all the database and got something like 32 paypal accounts and that he would buy something nice for himself.
Then he boasts again, and leaves.

Hurting pgt is disrespect for thousands of gamers. Why would you want to do that ? To attract attention ? So that everybody would talk about you ? Well it would only be a negative flow of trash talking. It reminds me of terrorist attacks after which somebody takes responsibility for action. Maybe he wants Ussama Ben Laden's fame ?

Well for starters he's lying about the paypal thing.
1) All passwords are MD5 encrypted, look around on google if you dont think MD5 is tough to break, and he says he can break them in 2 minutes, you can't actully break an md5 encryption, duplicate yes, break and get the original password? no.
2) If he did get control of these paypal accounts he would have the police after him, no longer would it be a lucky break.
3) He didn't brute force his way in or anything, it was unfortuantly an open security hole which to any php programmer could have been exploited easily it was just overlooked.

Since I can see, he erase the content of some tables. He only could do that, with an owner ddbb account. I don´t see another way to do the same damage.

Chr1s's guess is that he uploaded PHPMyAdmin onto the server and gained access to the databases that way. But hey, it's also possible (but unlikely) that he guessed the tables and ran a script to delete them.
But Volma, back on topic with the MD5...there are several databases out there that will give you the plan-text version of an MD5 hash, but of course, only of those that have been cracked.

Guys as an admin of PGTour i'd like to say he's kinda bullshitting.
He gained access through a simple security hole that was created by mistake and not closed, nothing special or no UBER hacker skills, nor was it anything to do with getting the password of another admin.
He had access ot mySQL yes but his bullshit about "I have access to 24 paypal accounts" is exactly that, bullshit. All passwords are md5 hashed and md5 hashes aren't able to be broken by rainbow tables in 2 minutes, manipulated yes but not broken.
Plus as soon as he tries to login to a paypal account if he had access which he doesn't because I don't believe he had access to the password table as this is seperate it would become a criminal offense and he could easily be tracked and jailed.
So all in all, he's a little kid and i'm not going to be worried one bit by him.

I've got a small 600MB rainbow table. It only contains 1-7 lowercase letters, it's still capable of finding around 10% of the passwords I've tested it with. Obviously the hashes can't be salted. Looking up 100 hashes takes a few minutes. I've seen some 40GB rainbow tables floating around, I'm sure they're quite a bit more capable.
