Assholes. They just hate short people.
\agreed. He was snubbed in 2010, he is snubbed now. His mistake is that he wasnt born a huge pig farmer from some prairie province so Brian Burke could fall in love with his 'work ethic' and 'truculence'

Yeah
Devon White is the greatest defensive center fielder of all time.

I 'think' you 'ignored' grezky's

Yeah Devon White is the greatest defensive center fielder of all time. Go to MLB thread. Anyone who thinks Super Mario was awful during the regular season cannot possibly have a clue how the game is played or what qualifies as "good"

ya, i wonder why bobby orr and various other HOF-ers ignore that when they state who they believe hockey's GOAT is. i think it was due to another stat.
0 pucks dug out of the corner.
Gretzky was a great offensive player though.

my Devon White statement is about as valid as a guy who says Gretzky is the GOAT when he didn't see a single game Orr, Howe, and Lemieux ever played. this is because judging a center fielder's defense can not be done on TV. Same thing with hockey players. Orr of course has the advantage of seeing all those guys.
My condolences to the Blair family on the passing of Paul Blair.

I have seen hundreds of Mario's games. It's sad that cancer and other injuries cut his career basically in half because he was a magical talent. Just a step down from Gretzky. Seen many Howe and Orr games too. Maybe not live but I have watched old games. They were good for sure, better than everyone they played with but nowhere near the caliber Wayne and Mario.

Wait, wait, wait. Did Jimmy just spend an entire page talking about how Gretzky's not the greatest ever because of the fact that he's only 14th in regular season GWG's and that regular season stats are meaningless, and then when it's mentioned that he's actually #1 all time in playoff GWG's he just says that it should be ignored because he didn't dig pucks out of corners? Is this really happening here?

Oduya, Ericsson and Edler are better than Hamhuis? Really? Hamhuis and Edler are even on the same team, where Hamhuis is the #1 defenseman.

Edler is a cripple this year, but every other year he has more PP time, better corsi and starts against better players. Oduya is the Hamhuis of the Hawks, which makes him better since the Hawks are the better team and Erickson, you got me, that guy is a piece of crap.

Why did Enstrom turn them down? Politics or? Said he wanted to focus all his energy on his team I read that as well, but isn't the goal of every European hockey player to win an Olympic gold medal first and foremost? On one hand that's good news for Canada but on the other, I like seeing the best assembled national teams competing because no one cares about stuff like the Worlds. And I'm gonna feel bad for him when the Jets don't make the playoffs

I never understood how anyone could have Lemeuix or Howe above Gretzky. In mario's wiki, the word second comes up 27 times, and almost all are mentioning him in comparison with Gretzky. Howe was obviously very good, but only old timers really buy into him being better because of all his truculence. While admittedly badass as hell, scoring wise, there wasn't anywhere close to the gulf between him and the rest of the pack as there was with Gretzky and the rest, or even Lemieux and other forwards. What he had in toughness, those two made up for greatly with skill, playing against much, much better players to boot.
Orr is really the only one that rivals Gretzky in any way as far as pure dominance.
