everyone rides the penguins dicks each year, but boston is so much bettter overall it's insane. they've got great forwards who play two ways, a good defense, great goaltending
pitt is totally top heavy and if some more balanced team in the east doesnt expose it, one of hte much better west teams will
I've been saying this for a while but Boston is basically a West coast in the east. Its so much more balanced, has an amazing goalie, and is built for the playoff style of play. Barring Rask blowing up randomly they seem like a clear favorite in the East. Its not even close. I cant believe anyone honestly thinks that the Pens with fluery as their goalie are going anywhere, that kid is a fucking headcase.

reimer makes a good backup for bernier, but if they keep pissing him off he'll eventually want out.
so disappointed with the leafs. We win big games against the ducks and kings to stay in the playoffs and then lose to teams that are competing for a spot in the playoffs with the caps and detroit tonight

As usual, the East is like Boston and everyone else. Who do you think resembles them most in the West? LA maybe?

lol so what. Its not like hes the second coming of Hasek.
I do agree that it was stupid for Carlyle to throw him under the bus like that though.

Them or STL imo. All built from the net out, great defenses, with balanced forward lines. They all own at possession too.
LA just really hates scoring goals in the regular season though. But they drive possession like motherfuckers. I don't understand why they don't score more. They have a lot of great forwards.

At least some of it has to be their awful shooting percentage.
Given the way they dominate possession, one would assume that they get better scoring opportunities than the percentage would indicate. Even an average shooting percentage would give them another 32 goals on the year, which is massive.

LA, because St Louis looks even better. Younger and faster, with a defensive corps that overall is better and with Miller who seems pretty Rask-ish on a good team.
TOR really relies so much on that top line and the great goaltending they've had. Their success goes to show that exceptional players can make a great difference because their are relatively few goals scored. That said, TOR would never get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs even if everything went right in terms of luck. You just cannot be that bad of a team in possession and expect to win a 7 game series.

Reimer is slightly above average for a starter and very very good as a back up.
