Sick resume actually. The simple fact he built the Swiss National hockey program from the ground up and made them competitive is going to carry alot of weight in any sport. Was also a special consultant for Team Canada in Sochi and is a member of the World Economic Forum.

He'll be handling more of the business of the sport I think. To be honest thought I have no idea what someone in his position does for EPL teams because I can't name 4 soccer players in the league

The same problems have the plagued them since '11 still plague them, and the only time they are competitive is when Howard channels Quick's 2010 form. Well, it's not like their offense is really all that good either. I wouldn't put it all on the defense, though that's definitely a priority.

Even development is totally different. And then the contractual ways are structured so much pro-free market in soccer than in hockey.

Ya their offense sucks because their first line is basically crippled but even when those guys were playing at their best -- zetterberg was on pace for a career year -- the defense was the massive gaping hole. Kyle Quincey is just an awful hockey player -- he is actually getting worse the more I see him on the ice and he has top 4 minutes. Basically when they went to the cup their top pairing was Lidstrom/Rafalski and they basically never resolved the loss of it -- and I recognize that those guys were once in a life time talent -- but they didnt even bother getting serviceable replacement. Erickson is a fine second pairing guy, DeKayser might or might not become a good D guy, Kronwall is basically the only guy Id trust and even he -- because he is forced to try so much harder -- isnt that great. The frustrating thing was that for Legwand they paid a price they could have had Bouwmeester for, who would have instantly made them a much better team. But at least a lot of the older guys are going to retire this year and hopefully Holland actually lets them go instead of Dan Cleary them forever.

Reimer has neck and shoulder problems and only 1 pro concussion... that is if u believe the MLSE PR machine and take everything they say as gospel truth. ![]() obviously the bernier trade was a pretty stupid move. and in other news. it appears the NHL has rescheduled the Columbus/Dallas game. the game they postponed when Peverley heart stopped. http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2014-03-16/stars-blue-jackets-rich-peverley-collapse-rescheduled-april-9 it'll be a full 60 minute game iwth one team up 1-0. interesting decision by the NHL. obviously, with Peverley's heart stoppage they had to postpone the game though. the NHL usually doesn't postpone games due to heart palpitations. in fact, some believe the NHL is so exciting it encourages heart racing.

![]() also, this is cool, even if I have placed it before (I think) ![]() 'He frequently played through pain, and during his career he had three operations on his right elbow, an appendectomy, countless cuts and bruises, a broken instep, a collapsed lung, ruptured discs in his back, and severed tendons in his hand. Years of crouching in the net caused Sawchuk to walk with a permanent stoop and resulted in lordosis (swayback), which prevented him from sleeping for more than two hours at a time. He also received approximately 400 stitches to his face (including three in his right eyeball) before finally adopting a protective facemask in 1962. In 1966, Life Magazine had a make-up artist apply stitches and scars to Sawchuk's face to demonstrate all of the injuries to his face over the years. The make-up artist did not have enough room for everything.' also this rules ![]() also also cool http://deadspin.com/fan-tries-to-take-selfie-in-front-of-jaromir-jagr-gets-1545563306

everyone rides the penguins dicks each year, but boston is so much bettter overall it's insane. they've got great forwards who play two ways, a good defense, great goaltending pitt is totally top heavy and if some more balanced team in the east doesnt expose it, one of hte much better west teams will
