This describes perfectly how I feel about it, with one caveat: the iOS-limitation really makes this uninteresting for me. I'd have loved to play this when lazing about in the garden or bed on my android device, but I won't be getting an iPad for this.

I would assume that they will port it at some point, there's not really a good reason to not do it unless Apple pays them.

I don't typically toot my own horn often, but here's what I said on March 2nd:
"Going to be really anti-climatic if it's like "Starcraft - The Trading Card Game." lol. In all seriousness maybe something like an FPS build? Reviving SC:Ghost for FPS multiplayer would be a neat trick. Either way if it isn't War4 (which it can't be based on OP) it sounds like I won't get too excited."
Well played? :D

"Trying out a new thing" that's also not a real game, it had to be something like that.

Not mentioning Android at all is akin to denying an Android release 100%.
Blizzard wouldn't disappoint the entirety of the Android market, which is more than half the mobile market in Europe, if they didn't rule it out 100%. They would have at least said: "Might get to Android at one point / soon tm".

Did Mist of Pandaria beta testers get anything exclusive? No, because that would be outrageously unfair to the several million WoW players that couldn't get in. Because this isn't a serious game, I care a little less than I did for HotS, but it's still not fair. How is this super unfair. People who spend real life money during Beta will not have that money vanish when the game gos live and instead will get the same about of stuff they bought. There is 0 advantage here over non-beta players. The part about reimbursing money spent in beta is 100% fair because it's equivalent to giving out free cards in beta, wiping everything as usual when beta ends, and spending the money that would have been spent in beta on the first day of launch. What's unfair is a "special gift" (what this gift is hasn't been announced) that is in addition to getting your decks reimbursed. so getting something that is unknown is totaly unfair? when it could just aswell be something with no effect on the game at all? Right yeah Super Unfair. Yes. If it's so insignificant why doesn't everyone get it? Beta testers aren't special. This isn't been given to people who have given useful beta feedback or demonstrated amazing skill, it's been given to all beta testers who deserve nothing in general. Are you new to betas or something? There's always a bonus, why would you otherwise waste your time betatesting a game when your progress will get wiped out? Lawl. Because, I don't know... it's fun to play games? The bonus is to play a good game before the others.

Obviously since Ghost was supposed to be FPS, Phoenix will be Descent or other similar space flight type game or SHMUP (who am I kidding, it will probably be some cellphone application to chat in battle.net channels or something).

I would like it to be Windows 8 compatible (in the form of an entirely touch based Metro app), but I fear it won't be the case ;D

Disappointed personally here. There are already too may tcgs and I really am not spending money on another.

loool, look at all the butthurt ppl in this thread.
I actually like the concept behind this. The game itself looks amazing in terms of visuals already, and free to play? whaat

Well, they've already done the SHMUP with the embedded Lost Vikings in WoL ^_^

they never said that lol.. this is what they said.. "We've been working on a little something, different from our other games"
seems about right to me

Poor Blizzard.
Blizzard: "Hey guys! We'll announce a little something for you. Don't get overeager, it's just a little fun thing."
People on the internet: "Boooo hooo. I'm soooo dizapointed. I wanted W4/SC Ghost/ new MMORG." Seriously, get a grip.
It's good that they are releasing new content. Free to play is a nice touch as well. We'll see how strong transactions will be.

Too many people are still pissed about all the d3 fail, i don't see a Blizzard All-Stars becoming popular. In fact i don't see nothing more of Blizzard becoming a big thing except the "Titan" thing.

Sweet. People have been saying for ages that Blizzard needs to reach out to the more casual/mobile games F2P crowd and now they are. Good stuff. I'm not really into card games, but I'll give this a try.

- So eventually it will end up on Android. Personally I prefer Android to iOS despite primarily using an iOS device at the moment, but this really shouldn't be a surprise to.. well .. anyone. It's a lot easier to develop things for iOS than it is for Android because of just how many Android devices there are and compatibility is a nightmare. A lot of the big mobile developers release things for iOS first and then Android a couple months down the line. I'd much rather they get it perfected on one platform before tackling the beast that is Android.

Looks like a cool game, I will play it when I start raging on Sc2
|
Thats nothing new, they just copy the ideas done a million times and give it a blizzard touch, very brave...
I gonna play it most likely though, I love tcgs and i think we can count on blizzard to make it right.
I absolutly hate the f2p model though, thats maybe what is gonna make me quit in the long run, not feeling like buying booster packs , smellls like p2w.

No android, no play.
Too bad
