If you're really a progressive, shouldn't there be nothing more important than getting a liberal in the white house who will appoint liberal justices, no matter who it is? Are you willing to throw away potentially decades of liberal control of the Supremes because you don't like the canidate?
Sanders people will only have themselves to blame when we start seeing things like Roe v Wade overturned in a Trump presidency. I just don't see the appeal in cutting off ones nose to spite your face.

There's no way it was originally sarcastic lol this is Trump we're talking about. He's dead serious and then realizes too late that he said something dumb and then backtracks.

As for there being other advantages to running third party. Running against the establishment to show them that they have underestimated the popular support for an issue is great. Bernie did that and he forced Hillary left. But forcing Hillary left doesn't mean shit if he then runs against her. Bernie forced Hillary to become a candidate that he could stand behind, why would he then want to not stand behind her?
In a representative democracy you sell your votes for influence over the people you elect. You can sell them cheaply like apolitical lifetime Dems or you can sell them expensively like Bernie has but if you're so principled that you refuse under any circumstances to sell them then you're doing nothing but disenfranchising yourself.

I've lost count of the number of time Trump defenders have had to interpret his quotes to make them less horrible. If it is so obvious, why did it take 24 hours to say? My bet is he waited to see if the reaction was negative. When it was, he backtracked like he always does.

Piers Morgan is an amoral piece of shit. Not strictly relevant to the content but I feel like whenever anyone gives him attention people should be reminded that he was pretty much exiled to America after he was caught manufacturing propaganda for the group that became ISIS to try and make a quick buck.

I'm watching Bloomberg's speech now... so far it's pretty cool, but I can't believe he said that Democrats stand in the way of action on education. Republicans are the ones pushing non-education into our schools, with removing science from science class, injecting religion into public schools, and trying to change history. Not to mention the fact that Bernie and Hillary have educational reform plans, while Trump is busy selling fake education. I guess Bloomberg had to make up something bad though to seem objective, and I think overall he did a great job supporting Hillary.

Read the fucking tweet it has obvious sarcasm.
Unless you honestly fucking think Trump was saying the press would mightily reward Putin for this, you have to admit it was made with sarcastic intent.
This is going back to why Trump got so much support in the first place with regards to people throwing a fit over the most mundane shit

Am I seriously wrong to think that's sarcasm? There's no way it was originally sarcastic lol this is Trump we're talking about. He's dead serious and then realizes too late that he said something dumb and then backtracks. He's been a public figure (warranted or not) for over 3 decades and as soon as he becomes a politician his opponents want to forget his personality and rewrite it with the media's take. Yes, he has a sense of humor. + Show Spoiler + If he's elected he'll be the only President to have had a Comedy Central roast. The American public knows him, for whatever it's worth. This is why he's not vulnerable to random shit that other Republicans would have to constantly be apologizing for. Were you even watching the press conference live? Here's my challenge to all of you people. Watch some Trump things live and actually make a note of anything you thought was controversial. Then the next day look at what the media is telling you is controversial and see if you came to the same conclusion. Just for laughs.

It's all transactional. If you can't make a deal, you're shit. You need to convert your assets to results and Bernie did that far as he was able. I would argue that Bernie made a great fucking deal, better than any that the guy who wrote Art of the Deal made. Oops, well, actually the ghostwriter got half the revenues so that was pretty solid for him.
