based on social media comments I see, a decent percentage of Bernie supporters refuse to vote for Hillary.
it matters, and it will make a difference, considering this could be a close election.

Bernie's speech was exactly what I expected (and should be of no surprise to anyone who's been following him): 1. Very inspirational 2. Very well laid out 3. A strong and logical endorsement of Hillary Clinton It's what he's been saying for weeks, and as a Bernie supporter I'm proud to be voting for the Democrats.

Yeah, those 50 people. They matter. They do, though. It doesn't do any good to pretend they don't exist, and they do represent a sizable contingent - the latest poll would put them at about 1.3 million (10% of sanders voters, specifically).
There's not going to be any convincing them, of course, but it's important to note for strategic purposes. It signals to the trump campaign that continuing with shallow, vague appeals to the Sander's supporters is worth continuing to do. If they can be convinced to not vote Trump that's as close a victory as Clinton can get at this point.

Social media is disproportionately for Bernie though (younger voters). Check out this article... It's encouraging news, that the vast majority of Bernie supporters (myself included) are probably going to vote for Hillary over Trump (or a third party candidate), since out of the only two candidates who can possibly become president, Hillary's policies and reforms and record are closer to what Bernie and I want than what Trump prefers.
"90 percent of unwavering Sanders supporters plan to vote for Clinton in November ... Pew asked those consistent Sanders supporters whom they support in the general election. Ninety percent said they back Hillary Clinton. ... Most Democrats — even those who consistently supported Bernie Sanders in the primary — plan to back Hillary Clinton. Those Democrats are more likely to be moderate and, Pew's data suggests, more willing to accept compromise."

Pew did some research. 90% plan to vote for Hillary. The rest won't vote, which is why they don't matter.

90% is pretty good, if he can eke out a couple % more and turnout where it matters that's plenty. WOn't be Clinton 2008 level, but plenty.

End of story. This is why the youth vote is constantly ignored, because it is impossible to get them out to vote in numbers that matter.

It's a blunt way to put it, but essentially "we would appreciate your vote, we think that we can be buddies, but hey we can only meet you halfway there and its up to you. If not okay good luck we're gonna head over to the moderates and such with the same pitch".

Don't worry Trump would have beaten Sanders anyways, it just would have been a closer race ^.^

A wild Bill Clinton appears. He looks tired.
Edit: Sanders is good and really delivered.
