Well if all of the allegations are true, it would mean she was careless with classified information, making her a security risk, and then lied about it when called out. I realize that all politicians are painted with the "untrustworthy" brush, but these aren't the characteristics we typically look for in a president. The fact that she put herself in this position at all screams of incompetence, even if she didn't have any classified documents on her private server. Also not a characteristic I look for in a president.

No? not that I was a major supporter of Hillary anyways, just that she's a reasonable possibility, among several reasonable possibilities. Also not sure if I'm one of the "you liberals" I'd need to see something much worse out of the email scandal, like an indictment or a conviction. It's also far too early to give up on any reasonable candidate or prospect. It reminds me of when the repubs were in their "can we find anyone other than Romney?" phase. Ultimately they had to settle on Romney of course.

Are we really saying she would just trip and fall over every security protocol and leak tons of shit? I really just don't get what people are saying they are afraid will happen. I feel like this is all totally exaggerated and people aren't laying out specific concerns.

Also, its would be weird if the State department was sending in encrypted files to an non-government email account. "Oh sure, I'll send this secure documents to HClinton420@comcast.net. No problem boss." Just seems like an excuse to drag her in front of congress a lot. Am I really the one only one who thinks being stupid about email can be localized? But the Republicans have been dragging her before congress for the last 2 years over and over to the point where they are shouting at the rain. Unless she ordered a hit on Joe Biden via that email, no one is going to give a shit. Belive it or not leaking classified information is a crime. She might not be able to actually be president in 2 years.

However, for the moment, all that has happened is that a bunch of republicans are bellowing about it, and everybody else is thinking "not this again".

Yet here we are with a leading presidential candidate pushing on through this behavior acting like it's no big deal. The truth is stranger than fiction.

So because something makes a bad plot for a thriller, it is.. what exactly? The reality is generally far more mundane than the plot of thrillers. Now I agree with you that what Clinton did was not the brightest of actions, but the investigation so far seems more like tabloids desperately trying to get something to stick than that there is actually something wrong with what she did.

If shes decided to use "all" her emails on a private server managed by a non governmental agency thats a security issue at the least and a criminal one at the most. with all the tens of thousands of emails that they're still going though theres a legitimate chance that there still might be one or more that are classified or should have been labeled classified.
