As a question out of curiosity to an israeli. Why cant u create a single state with equal rights for everyone?
Short answer is not practical and both sides dont want it,
Yes I'm sure the Palestinians are sitting there disdaining the idea that Israel might treat them like actual people, as equals. Much too impractical, they'd prefer to be bombed, imprisoned and occupied, or that's the opinion I'm getting from your statement.
Once again you see what you want to see. They want their own state, their own government their own independence and their own power. The PLO have never even said "we want to merge" and Hamas will stop at nouthing to have their own state, from the Jordan to the sea.
I read his question wrong, I thought it said "why can't you create a state" as in a different state, my apologies. I would argue it is the Palestinians who want their own state, the Hamas are just there as the only safeguard, whether right or wrong it's hard to disown your own version of "freedom fighters" when no one else seems to care much about you.
But yeah, one state? Both are to religiously motivated to be able to co-exist.

The Palestinians will not now, or ever, tolerate Jews ruling over them.
They have never once in their life stated that they want to become part of Israel. They want nothing to do with Israel.
Ideally that involves a destroyed Israel, but they might settle for a two-state solution.
But as said, there isn't anyone on either side that wants a merger.
there is ONE side that doesn't want a merge and that is ISRAEL. if they accepted the refugees in west bank/gaza as israeli citizens israel would have a muslim governement. it's as simple as that and it's known for a long time... (just look up the refugee problematic)
also: you should stop talking about what the palesitians like/don't like because what you say is only bullshit and you don't represent them in ANY way.

Hamas is the governing body, regardless of how many actual supporters they have or don't have. Until there is a governing body that isn't a known terrorist organization I don't see how your point has any weight.
I was with the Israelis, when the rockets were launched from Gaza into Israel.
But this has gotten to the point of mass murder. The bombings by Israel are utterly disproportionate. They seemingly have no regard for civilians, as long as their target is hit. This has now turned into a 1-sided slaughter.
Israel has the right to defend itself and to retaliate, but they should not be allowed to relentlessly bomb Gaza with little to no regard for civilian casualties, bomb media stations, and continue to engage in mass murder 5 days after the rockets fired into Israel have mostly ceased.

Because its not in a peoples interest to welcome a state where they are beaten and killed in the streets for simply being born .Would the Bosnian or the Albanians want a single state solution with serbia? You act like theres no clear and right justification for everyone in the world to prevent a one state solution. The reason why no ones asked them is because no ones dumb enough to do it.
And if you really want to argue that not all of the gaza strip supports hamas find one survey that doesn't overwhelmingly have the arabs supporting their actions? Are the palestinians in the west bank causing any problems for anyone else at the moment? All the problems that we're arguing about today are because the people in the west bank supported hamas, The problem is only going to go away when hamas goes away. What solution other then a full scale invasion is going to do this?
2 years old but just as relevant now as it was back then. Nothing has changed since then and nothing will change as long as Israels "solution" to the conflict is to let Palestinians either leave or stay and live like dogs in an open air prison while Israel slowly continues taking every valuable piece of land belonging to the Palestinians.
