I'll be getting my dream PC very soon, once I get my bursary cashed, and Intel starts rolling out the Haswell series. (Probably mid 2013. Yes I am patient)
Haswell High tier CPU Nvidia Kepler GPU Crucial M4 SSD Some random 2TB HDD for storage DDR3, SATA3, USB 3.0 supported MOBO (my old rig is using SATA2, DDR2 and USB 1.0) so these upgrades will be so much of an improvement already. MONITORS, preferable 2 with VESA mounts so I can rotate them to portrait for coding.
@OP Please don't get Alienware if you have time. Just go to a PC shop and tell them "I want a computer with better than Alienware specs" I am sure they will be able to build you a good rig based on that info. As for Razor... imo I think it's the same as Alienware, but since it's a Singapore company I'll just support it ^^;
My old rig was built at the cost of around SGD$1k - > US$833 3 years ago. I got the AMD Phenon BE550 Black edition, and unlocked 2 cores into 4. I can play SC2 on mid and it's find for various stuff. My estimated dream rig will be around SGD$2k - > US$1.7k

In terms of a dream PC I'd want something with technology from the distant future (like 200+ years from now) and for it to be as big as possible in order for it to be as powerful as possible. I don't mean like "takes up an entire room" or "takes up an entire warehouse" big, I mean like make a computer that orbits the earth and is roughly the size of the moon big.
The lag would probably suck bad if it was wireless so it would also have to have direct connections to the earth for the internet and maybe power too, though some sort of local self sustaining power source would be good as well.
I'd honestly still use a mouse and keyboard though lol

A quantum processor with ram with DNA based Ram and my monitor would be some sort of heads up display with no need for keyboard and mouse. Everything would just happen as I thought it.
